Unpopular WDW Opinions

I live in Miami.

I pay about 31% more for housing than what I paid in Orlando (apples to apples comparison), car insurance is about 35% more, and gas is about 25 cents more per gallon.

Going out to eat is a wash (apples to apples comparison), but groceries are a little bit more expensive, and drink prices are more expensive.

Utilities are about 15% more, and sales tax is half a point higher.

Until now, Orlando's the winner as far as cheaper place to live. Now we add two more things:

My commute in Orlando cost $2.14 in tolls daily, whereas in Miami it's $6.60 daily. However, in Miami I work from home 3-4 days each week.

Also, I live in a pedestrian friendly part of Miami, and do a lot of my daily errands on foot.

And finally, I doubled my salary.

So while Miami is more expensive, at the end of the day, I'm better off financially being a visitor in Orlando than a resident.
Well, what you're not losing in sinkhole deductible you're probably losing in windstorm damage deductible.

Disney should just go ahead and buy the Lord of the Rings franchise and build the Fifth Gate as Middle Earth.

Naturally, it would be a Black Gate. In a layout similar to MK, Mt. Doom would be at the Hub. You would also have the Barad Dur bathrooms with Barad Dur looming over them.

Universal may have been cheaper once upon a time, but I keep pricing it up and balking at the prices now!! Bet it's way more crowded then it used to be too.

Someone in another thread posted a comparison of a one day Universal ticket and one day Disney World ticket. The price difference wasn't really that much.

The giant cinnamon rolls taste like nothing with a side of sugar.
You know I agree! The recipe/ingredients have changed over the years and they’re just not the same. If I recall correctly back in 2010 Disney attempted to cut all trans fats from their food offerings and I swear shortly after that the cinnamon rolls changed drastically.

1. I like the DDP, and will continue to purchase it. The DDP has very little to no effect on the price and quality of food at WDW.
2. There is no issue with the quality of the food at WDW.
3. SM is a horrible roller coaster, and a back injury waiting to happen.
4. Adults that are scared of ITTBAB need to grow up-the bugs are NOT REAL.

I...really like Frozen Ever After and think it was actually a good replacement for Maelstrom.

I do miss Maelstrom, but I think putting in a ride for Frozen is a hit with kids of all ages and brings more crowds back to World Showcase (or because Futureworld is slowly dying).

Also, it's just a beautiful, well done ride.

Preach! There are dozens of us who feel that way. DOZENS!
Every time you go around that little curve and you get on the lift hill, that sudden, spine-wrenching stop gets me every time, even when I brace for it. The first time I rode SM, I did not know about it, and my back was a bit stiff and sore for the rest of the day.

There are opinions and just being wrong...
I knew someone would react to that, but hey, that's why the title of the thread says Unpopular. Without getting into it too much, one of the reasons I posted this was because I have heard people on here place the blame for every single issue with dining at WDW on the shoulders of the DDP.

I haven't been on frozen yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the ride. But a great majority of the people against the attraction, are not upset with the ride, but its placement. I've said it before, frozen deserved more than an overlay, and epcot deserved more than a shoehorned attraction. So you aren't wrong for liking the attraction, just the location.;)

I much prefer this (and the Frozen is a fantastic ride) posts to, "People with strollers."
Agree - the "people with strollers" argument is tired and completely unrealistic. When I pay $400+ to spend a day in the park with my family I'd like for my 4-6 year olds to have the ability to make it through a full day there. If that means letting them ride in a stroller for a while to give them a break from walking then so be it.

Countdown to Extinction was a better ride than Indiana Jones by a significant margin.

Mission Breakout is a better ride than Tower of Terror.

The original Test Track was one of the worst rides ever at a Disney park.

Maelstrom sucked.

Spaceship Earth is so boring it makes Ellen’s Energy Adventure look like a masterpiece.

Michael Eisner deserves the lion’s share of the credit for making WDW what it is today.

Boy you're top tier when it comes to unpopular opinions.
But when you say TOT do you mean DCA's or in general, because DCA's I can get. General I'd be interested to hear.
