Sorry If this has been mentioned before but i did a forum search for it and nothing came up. I bought the new Will Farrel Movie "Kicking and Screaming", and there is a preview for The Adventures Of Brer Rabbit being Released by Universal Studios?!:hammer: It mentions something about Disney but i cant remeber what it said. Does Disney Own the rights to the Brer Animals and related.

What is going on??

Kudos to Universal. If Disney is too chicken to show its audience a movie, someone should frickin' well go for it. Hopefully it'll be at least as good as Song of the South.

I agree, but I don't think Wayne Brady was the best choice as the voice Brier Rabbit.

We shouldn't worry about it. It's just going to be a cheap direct to video animated movie. I doubt it will be very good at all. Maybe this may make Disney wake up and finally release the original movie to the public.

Thanks pluto....I couldnt find anything on that movie. The movie sounds interesting though. thanks again
no problem, it does sound interesting, but I'm not really expecting much since it is Direct-to-video but who knows? It may be worth checking out.

I read that on another website. That if this movie were to do pretty good maybe Disney would think about releasing Song of the South, but that may have been just a fan website dreaming.

I'm not worried at all. As I mentioned, I hope it's highly successful, just so Disney may learn another thing from the competition. Those stories are wonderful, and I don't think they should be kept from the kids simply because parents don't have the time to explain a little historic context.
