Greetings all. I just returned from Universal from a fun filled day. Sorry no pics (camera was left at home) but lots of info.

Here's the general wait times:

Arrived at 11 AM. About an hour to get tickets. 10 Minutes to get through gate.

At 12:15, the wait times were as follows:
Hulk: 85 minutes
Spiderman: 75 minutes
Doom: 40 minutes
Popeye: 10 minutes (it was chilly)
Jurrasic Park: 80 minutes
Dueling Dragons: 105 minutes

At 4 PM at Studios Side, the wait was as follows
Mummy: Down for tech problems. Came back up around 6 PM with a 35 minute wait.
Shrek: 30 min wait.
Jimmy Neutron: 20 min wait.
Earthquake: 20 min wait
MIB: 75 min wait
Jaws: 50 min wait
Future: 45 min wait

Single rider lines were running about 20-30 minutes.

We got the express passes and it saved a ton of time. We waited longer to get lockers at DD than we did to ride it! The IOA side was packed. US wasn't as crowded. Mardi Gras parade was a lot of fun. Big and Rich concert was great!

Overall, a great day at Uni, even though it was darn crowded! You have to love spring break and all the tourists! If you go on the weekends in the next few weeks, I highly recommend getting buying the express passes.

Jaws @ 50 minutes is a shocker as well --- was it actually using its extended queue?

Yesterday was one of the craziest days I have seen at the Islands in a long time. Maybe the crowds are coming back? Yeah right lol. Glad to hear you had a great time.

There was a HUGE cheerleading event being held backstage in SS 23 so that may have helped the lines... I'm glad you still had fun and enjoyed Mardi Gras... did you get any pics? I was the Knight with gold armor and the beautiful princess on my side...

It is a blast! I love working in Entertainment at Universal. You have so much more freedom there than Disney does, which is great for performers, but might not be so great for guests, but sometimes it is. It's bad in that the show isn't the same everytime and can vary depending upon the performers, but it's great in that the performers can be more personal with guests and instead of waiting in a line to take a picture and then walking away, you can walk up to the performer and have a conversation with them and get a picture. A lot of Disney performers actually work at both parks. They all say they enjoy the relaxed nature of Universal and the fact that they can also get in for free to all the parks in Orlando.:king:

This is my second year doing Mardi Gras, and my third year at Universal (since I was of legal age, 18). I also work the Halloween Horror Night event as well as MACY's Holiday Parade, Grad Bash and other special events. It's a lot of fun! I hope I can have this job for the rest of my life, as long as I can juggle it and my real job.

Yep, I saw you on Saturday night. I saw five or six people that I know from HHN in the parade, and I didn't even know they were there. So that was kinda neat.

Should've stopped by and said Hi! To see some cool pics of the event... visit this site... this guy is out there taking pics almost every weekend, he's really cool!

Those lines are ridiculous. Wow

On a related note, I've always liked Universal's costuming department more than Disney's. You sure won't find an extremely hot girl wearing a small amount of skin-tight clothes walking around on stilts over at WDW.
