Heading down to Disney Nov 30th...this will be our second trip down...we did not do either Universal or SeaWorld our first trip....

I did schedule a 2 day at Universal but my husband mentioned the other night about SeaWorld....WHICH WOULD YOU PICK???:xmas:

I would save Sea World for another trip, purely because you get a second day free at sea world which would be wasted.

I'll take Sea World over Universal ANY DAY!!
Universal is for thrill junkies and ride oriented people (I am not a thrill junkie). I have been there twice and overall was not impressed. My favorite ride ever is gone (Back to the Future) and Islands of Adventure had nothing for me.
Sea World has shows and exhibits, more my speed. I usually do Sea World right in the middle of my vacation because it's a nice way to break things up and not think about rides and lines, etc. I mean, if you're a ride person then I would suggest Universal, but I personally prefer Sea World.

I guess it really depends on what you like. Do you have kids? Do you enjoy thrills? or more quiet attractions?

If you are already doing Disney as well, then US/IoA seem like a lot of extra sensory overload. But if you are just a couple of adults who enjoy rides and attractions...then I would suggest Universal.

Actually you can do the Studios and Islands in the same day if you start early enough.

But Sea World has it's own charms as well. Not so big on the rides,(though it does have a couple) but quieter shows and just a more relaxing vacation day.

It's like a nice breath of fresh air if you are used to running from ride to ride trying to do it all.

With exception of harry potters area you will be able to shoot a cannon down either park and not hit anyone during the week. They both are great but sea world is pretty mellow compared to universal.

This is just plain ridiculous. The breathtaking theming alone beats anything at WDW with maybe the exception of Africa and Asia at AK. Not to mention all the great non thrill attractions like Spiderman, Ripsaw Falls, Cat in the Hat, Popeye, etc.

Lol you are an angry little man/woman today arent you! lol. You just have to accept that people have different opinions - thats what makes the world such an interesting place :) Perhaps some prefer Sea World and dont get anything out of Universal - it takes all kinds.

Anyway - I have to hit both in my trips. Definitely need to do Universal. Its a must. Especially if you are into thrill rides or Harry Potter. However Sea World for me, is also an incredible place. I cant go to Florida without going to Sea World - it is an awe inspiring, thought provoking place that shouldnt be overlooked.

If I didn't know better I'd think you were calling me a tranny, hehe.

Really though, I wasn't mad at all yesterday or today. I just got back from a great trip in Orlando and I'm doing good. That's just how I am when it comes to bias towards one brand when there's plenty to enjoy in that city from Disney, Universal and Anheuser Busch. It's useless negativity and many are spewing it here. There's no reason to hesitate calling that out.

There's more to see & do at IOA/Uni, but if your a fan of aquatic things, Seawaorld is cool, IMO it's a shame to miss out either! All worth a visit.:hammer:

I think I actually enjoyed it more because I haven't read any of the books. There's more to discover that way and if you're familiar with the characters and settings (like how I am with Marvel and Jurassic Parks) then it's just harder to live up to your expectations.
