I've gotten to the point that as long as Popeye and Sweethaven stay I'll be fine with the rest of Toon Lagoon getting the axe for LotR...more rides, shops, restaurants...I'm not a big Rings fan, but I also wasn't a big Potter fan but I love what they've done, so is trust LotR would also be amazing and worth it.
I'm not a LotR fan either, but I really hope the do it- it would be amazing-enchanting in a way.

Not all of it. If it finally happens. Awfully quiet in that area at the mo.
Is it quiet? Teebin on OU mentioned something about LOTR the other day... Yes, he was cryptic, didn't give any details, just mentioned he thought ti was funny someone mentioned LOTR after something that happened that same day... But obviously never expanded on what he meant, and understandably so...

I mean I trust ya, just wondering if the theme parks right were finally granted to someone or if the estate is still holding out...

I absolutely adore toon lagoon- it is timeless and fun for everyone! NO THEY CAN'T take it away. It's the best place to cool down and take silly pictures! That big arena between TL and Marvel Superhero Island- what is/was that?- THAT needs to go!

They take that away and I shall not return, it's by far the best part of IOA!

I was recently walking through Toon Lagoon and felt like it was dated. Time for a change. While I love all the old comic strip characters my 9 year old daughter couldn't relate. What kid actually reads the comic strips theses days? I love the Dudley Do Right ride, but everything else was just a quick walk through to get to the other side.

I hope they don't bring LOTR to Uni. It's too similar to Harry Potter. Same genre.

Curse you! I am going to chain myself to Ripsaw Falls if they get near it to bulldoze it like some hippy tree hugging protester!

Rip Saw Falls is good. I can take or leave Popeye.

More important is that the general theme of Toon Lagoon seems outdated. Maybe remove some of the classic comic strip characters and replace with some newer toon characters kids today can relate to. I love Hagar but kids today have no clue who he is.

Popeye is by far the best rapids ride I have been on or seen. It would be a crime to get rid of it or retheme it imo. Sadly if they axed Toon Lagoon, I couldn't see Sweethaven staying as a mini area. I think it would just be too awkward having it sandwiched in there.
