What would you do with the following areas of USF and IOA? And plan out a 3rd gate :)

USF:

  1. Production Central
  2. San Francisco
  3. World Expo/Springfield
  4. The huge plot between MIB and Springfield
  5. KidZone (including small backstage sections)
New York and Hollywood just need an update here and there IMO but feel free to expand or tinker each of them too!

IOA:

  1. Toon Lagoon
  2. Jurassic Park
  3. Lost Continent
  4. Seuss Landing
  5. WWOHP (hypothetical Phase 3)
Marvel can't do much of anything while Port of Entry is near-perfect

Here's mine!!

Universal Studios Florida

Production Central:

Universal Studios Store serves as the exit to a Studio Tour once again
New attraction - The Universal Experience (similar to USH's tram tour only much shorter - 15 to 25 minutes)
Blue Man Group is bulldozed and its plot is reannexed into USF
In its place... a new land! Super Silly Fun Land
2 small attractions are included to round out a mini-Despicable Me area, along with a restaurant and some stands selling prizes
  1. Banana Flyers (mini-swings) - 32"
  2. House of Puns (immersive fun house/walkthrough)
HRRR is closed and rethemed to Stuntman Ignition: lift hill is turned into a skyscraper with an enclosed "launch tunnel" prepping you for the ultimate cinematic stunt. Huge buildings surround the entire track as "rockets" from the Air Force fight off a elite spy group.
The Candy Shop is rethemed to be more cinematic-orientated
Lucy and Shrek 4D are bulldozed and replaced with: Journey Through Cinema (E.T., BTTF, Kong, the Classic Monsters, Ghostbusters, Lucy, Marilyn Monroe, Jaws would all get a show scene or two) - a family Omnimover that is essentially a self-guided tour of a living museum of Universal films devised by Doc Brown

Here's the new entrance area:

Production Central
1. The Universal Experience (elevated tram)
2. Journey Through Cinema (Omnimover)
3. Stuntman Ignition (51")
4. Composer's Stage (music venue)

Super Silly Fun Land
1. Despicable Me - Minion Mayhem (40")
2. Banana Flyers (32")
3. House of Puns (elaborate fun house/walkthrough)

I'll add more later :)

I like it! I hope you continue your Disney Texas resort idea too!

Next... is a small update for Hollywood which would include a relocation of Horror Makeup Show and a massive T2 3D upgrade to include elements from the upcoming 2015 reboot/sequel.

In Horror Makeup Show's place will be NBC Laugh Center: a Superstar Television style attraction for some of NBC's greatest sitcoms like Seinfeld, Friends, The Office, SNL, Cheers and others. Using tech from Kong 360, VR helmets and chroma key, guests will be transported into a full episode of a show of their choice.

Mel's Diner will stay the same although some blatant American Graffiti theming and a Streetmosphere show called Rockin' Round the Clock will be added to the general vicinity. It will be made less of a pin-point between Hollywood, New York, and Production Central but rather a destination spot as 50s main street facades are added along the lagoon. By the service gate where NBC Laugh Center will be, there is a mini version of the Hollywood Hills to block out the backstage theming and to help mask a certain new queue in the Gardens of Allah area...

Yes, E.T. Adventure is getting a entrance relocation to Hollywood as to give the area an anchor and to give KidZone more of a central theme, not to mention keep the most underrated dark ride of all time safe from elmination! :)

Everything past that shady walkway will be almost demolished aside from Curious George! It will be themed to a new name promptly titled Universal's Whimisical Wonderland

Animal Actors and KidZone Pizza are both rethemed to a certain SpongeBob Squarepants. Animal Actors becomes SpongeBob's Nautical Voyage - a Splash Battle-style ride that has SpongeBob and his friends giving us a comical tour of the ocean until Plankton awakens an army of Krakens. With the help of the guests, they can fight their way back to Bikini Bottom to end the portal. Lots of AAs, wacky hijinks, and even an original POTC/Small World-esque song!

Backstage space will be used for full-scale walkthrough recreations of SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward's houses with Sandy Cheeks' dome and the Krusty Krab as highly detailed facades.

Part of Gardens of Allah will be demolished for The Chum Bucket (Krusty Krab is too much like Krusty Burger) as a replacement for KidZone Pizza. It will have quick service and table service options in one with Karen, Plankton's wife, providing entertainment once in a while.

Barney and Fievel are both leveled aside from saving the water-slide pieces ;) in Fievel's place is a new Dora mini-area with a jungle-themed play area called Dora's Jungle Paradise and an observation tower called Diego's Rescue Beacon. Some backstage space is also used to add a Dora/Diego/Boots/Swiper M&G area. Overall, this will satisfy the preschool audience quite sufficiently

Meanwhile, Barney makes way for a E-ticket family dark ride themed... to none other than Scooby-Doo! Scooby-Doo and the Wild Chase is a trackless dark ride with a Choose Your Own Adventure style ride layout. Using a portion of backstage space, this 10-12 minute dark ride will have top-notch AAs, projections, lavish physical sets, interactivity, and 2 ride modes like Antarctica: Mild (no height requirement at all!!) and Wild (46" height requirement for a DINOSAUR-level amount of thrills!)

Curious George Goes to Town gets a massive upgrade/revamp into Curious George Goes to the Circus, a Casey Jr. Circus Train-style train ride with a couple show scenes. The indoor ball pit area is the post-show exit and actually is a key part of the turning point of the ride.

Right in front of Curious George is a new double-decker carousel called Universal Menagerie, with all sorts of Nickelodeon, Hanna Barbera, Hasbro, and Illumination characters. It's even got LED screens and SFX like wind and mist to make the whimsy stick out a little more.

Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster
becomes a full-fledged family coaster where Woody has to collect the laugh capacitor from his Nuthouse Mine

Last but not least, a Hasbro mini-land is added by Curious George (linking another expansion later on) with My Little Pony - Power of the Rainbow - a Fantasyland style dark ride with a relatively simple story, nothing out of the ordinary for Universal :)

Of course, a nicely sized Care Bears store (featuring the relocated Fievel slide :)) is placed near the attraction to continue the Hasbro theme which will also be extended to a certain great American hero later on...

Some space will also be left for another flat ride/small show

Overall

Hollywood

  1. Terminator 5D: Battle Across Time
  2. NBC Laugh Center
  3. E.T. Adventure (32")
Universal's Whimsical Wonderland

  1. SpongeBob's Nautical Voyage (Splash Battle-style water ride)
  2. Bikini Bottom Lane (walkthroughs/M&Gs)
  3. Dora's Jungle Paradise (water play area)
  4. Rescue Beacon (observation tower)
  5. Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Chase (Choose Your Own Adventure esque trackless dark ride) - no height requirement for Mild/46" height requirement for Wild
  6. Curious George Goes to the Circus (kiddie train ride)
  7. The Ball Pit (indoor play area)
  8. Universal Menagerie (double decker carousel)
  9. Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Expedition (family coaster) - 38"
  10. My Little Pony - Quest for the Rainbow (Fantasyland-akin dark ride)
Next up... the expansion for the MIB/Springfield plot!!

Springfield gains a small addition in the form of Simpsons House - a goofy walkthrough with a M&G at the end. The huge Springfield Hills are added behind the Simpsons Ride to mask the new expansion area :)

My idea for the usage of the HUGE plot next to MIB and Springfield would bring a sci-fi flair in the vein of Syfy City. MIB - AA gets a massive upgrade to include time travel and a futuristic London to serve as a transition between London and sci-fi. Fear Factor is also getting bulldozed for a non-Potter E-ticket for London - themed to the Doctor no less!! Doctor Who - The Worm Paradox will be a TOT-style freefall ride with a coaster track and show scenes along with projections as transitions between freefalls or climbs. Matt Smith, David Tennant, and other Doctors would be brought back just for the attraction.

Also, a London themed ferris wheel The London Eye would be built along the London lagoon as a nice ride the whole family can peacefully enjoy together.

Back to Syfy!! The big E-ticket for Syfy City will be Star Trek - The Intergalactic Voyage: a launched spinning wild mouse coaster with elaborate show scenes. Using a lot of the ideas from Space Fantasy in Universal Japan, this ride will take you on a journey to the great beyond.

Cylon Encounter is an AE-style show right next to the Star Trek coaster with plenty of in-your-face effects and rotating seats. To cap it off, Accelerator is also brought over from Universal Singapore but this time enclosed as a science experiment goes wrong. Mist, projections and AAs make this a sensory ride for the ages!

The remaining space between KidZone and Syfy City will be for Octane Blvd. Using land outside of park borders, Fast and Furious gains a state-of-the-art street race attraction that makes RSR look like Superstar Limo! Fast and Furious: Speed Blast has Dom and the gang fighting against a rival gang in a game of cops (Dom and crew) and robbers through LA. Speeds up to 85-95 mph are reached!

To link the kid aspect, G.I. Joe: A Hero's Glory is a nice family-friendly stunt show that takes the elite squad on their biggest mission yet!

London (non-Potter)
  1. The London Eye (ferris wheel)
  2. Doctor Who - The Worm Paradox (TOT-style coaster/dark ride) - 44"
Syfy City
  1. Men in Black - Alien Attack (shoot em up dark ride) - 42"
  2. Accelerator (enclosed tea cups ride)
  3. Cylon Encounter (AA show)
  4. Star Trek - The Intergalactic Voyage (indoor launched spinning coaster) - 46"
Springfield
  1. Kang and Kodos' Twirl n Hurl (spinner)
  2. The Simpsons Ride (simulator) - 40"
  3. Simpsons House (walkthrough/M&G)
Octane Blvd
  1. Fast and Furious: Speed Rush (launched indoor/outdoor race ride) - 52"
  2. G.I. Joe: A Hero's Glory (stunt show)

New York gets a single change - Twister gets the Lights, Camera, Action! show from Singapore. San Francisco on the other hand... a total overlay as Horror Courtyard - a mix of early 20th century San Francisco with the 19th century New England coastal vibe as well. An eerie watchtower with a spotlight is included alongside the lagoon.

Richter's Burgers and that whole area are bulldozed for a new version of the Horror Makeup Show with all-new elements and a new storyline involving reinvigorating an ancient monster for a new movie. It's still got that edgy yet tongue in cheek flair of course.

Disaster and 60% of the warehouse area are re purposed for KONG - Golden Gate's Terror: a new version of the usual Kong storyline involving a cloning process of King Kong. With multiple Kongs running rampant around San Francisco, it is up to the guests along for the city tour to help clean up the streets leading up to a ground-breaking, state of the art finale on the Golden Gate Bridge during a thunderstorm/earthquake. Winds reach up to 75 mph in the climax of the ride.

Beetlejuice gets a nice update and an upgraded Victorian circus facade as it is marketed more as a freak-show.

New York

  1. Lights, Camera, Action! With Steven Spielberg (indoor SFX show)
  2. Transformers - The Ride (4D dark ride) - 40"
  3. Blue Brothers Revue (stage show)
  4. Delancey Street Preview Center (walkthrough)
  5. Revenge of the Mummy (indoor roller-coaster) - 48"
San Francisco

  1. Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue (stage show)
  2. Horror Makeup Show (interactive SFX show)
  3. KONG - Golden Gate's Terror (SFX dark ride) - 38"
Add in the 4 from Diagon Alley (12 + 11=23 + 10=33 +10=43) and you get a well-rounded family/thrills hybrid of 43 attractions!! :)

IOA, the 3rd gate and Wondersea Island (water park) are on the horizon

All right, now it's time for Islands of Adventure!

Port of Entry sees the return of Island Skipper Tours, with stations in the LC area and the TL area as well as Port of Entry. Not to mention the opening land now serves as the central location for a new IOA nighttime show Mystic Feats, using a newly devised time-dweller to bring a hero from each land (Toon Lagoon is getting massively overhauled so the character for this won't be revealed ;), but Spider-Man, the T-Rex, Harry Potter, Zeus, and the Cat in the Hat are the others) together to stop the mystic takeover of IOA. Using projections, CGI, glasses-free 3D, fireworks, lasers, water jets, and live actors, this show will make World of Color look amateur.

Moving to the right, we have Seuss Landing!!! :cat: The first new feature added includes the destruction of Green Eggs and Ham (the classic meal will still be served in Circus McGurkus along with a Sam I Am M&G) for the re-located One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Seuss Trolley is totally reworked into a People-Mover style ride and the height requirement is totally removed via nets on the lapbars and walls/show scenes along the track to keep the shaky open air sensation away. If I Ran the Zoo gets a hefty upgrade and some touch-ups to return it to its original glory. Sneetch Beach gets a brand new flat ride!! What could this crazy attraction be? Well, it's a triple decker ferris wheel!! Yertle's Wurbling Tumble is a family attraction with a nice semi-mobile Yertle figure on top. It also gives the Seuss Trolley a little more kinetic energy.

Meanwhile, a new feature for the Island Skipper Tours is a show scene for each land without a station and Seuss gets a mini-retelling of Horton Hears a Who. Plenty of colors and AAs abound!! Caro-Seuss-El gets some touch-ups, nothing special while The Cat in the Hat gets a massive upgrade to the 21st century with new projections, AAs and effects. However, the biggest changes come in the back corner past Cat.

NBA City and the old Grinchmas soundstage are both bulldozed while some backstage areas are re-worked for this HUGE expansion of Seuss (nearly doubling its size). Next to Cat, an array of colorful facades and Truffula trees lead you to a new dark ride Tale of the Lorax, which expands upon the original story while using a suspended dark ride system. It provides a nice family people-eater while on the other side, a stage show and a family coaster have moved in. This new ride is Mt. Crumpet Madness, which shows the Grinch being the town hero now, resulting in him having to take on a Seussian mammoth-like creature. It pokes fun at Expedition Everest and the Matterhorn while providing plenty of thrills and fun itself. The biggest drop is only 50-55 ft (but pitch black and indoors!) With a mountain facade hiding backstage areas, a new theme park edition of Seussical - The Musical is added in while Grinchmas will use its space during Christmas like always.

Port of Entry
  1. Island Skipper Tours (themed transport boat ride)
  2. Mystic Feats (nighttime spectacular)
Seuss Landing
  1. If I Ran the Zoo (play area)
  2. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (spinner)
  3. Yertle's Wurbling Tumble (triple decker ferris wheel/frog hopper hybrid) - 32"
  4. Caro-Seuss-El (carousel)
  5. The Cat in the Hat (spinning dark ride)
  6. Tale of the Lorax (suspended dark ride)
  7. Mt. Crumpet Madness (indoor bobsled coaster) - 38"
  8. Seussical - The Musical (stage show)
  9. Oh, the Stories You'll Hear (small interactive show)
  10. The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride (scenic People-Mover)
Next up, LC and WWOHP :)

Now... Lost Continent!! Rather than retheme the whole area, it has been drastically reworked! The Sinbad stage has been bulldozed, while the Poseidon show building has been gutted and the paths have had food carts moved out of the way.

Poseidon is re-done into a grand, multi-level, expansive, POTC-style water flume dark ride called Poseidon's Curse. Using rotatable vehicles and seamless elevator lifts that "spout" you slowly up through the 3 levels, you must cleanse the sacred burial grounds of Poseidon's curse!!

Mythos stays exactly as is! :)

Next to Poseidon, a new thrilling flat ride has been moved into town - a swinging ship prompty called The Galleon of Sinbad. It has a well-themed queue with even a small pre-show. Overall, it's immersive for the type of attraction it is and uses a little backstage space!

Finally, a new show moves into the former location of Sinbad's show called Coliseum le Greece: a new interactive show that lets you "experience" a gladiator match of course. Until, the Argonauts interrupt the performance, prompting Jason (one of the gladiator) to find the Golden Fleece and slay the beasts. It's a visual spectacle like no other!!!

WWOHP only receives a Great Hall dining experience and some store expansion. No new attractions  but a key feature of this expansion is the upgrades to Dragon Challenge. Show scenes and mountains are added throughout the ride, including Godric's Hollow and the Shrieking Shack. A pre-show is also added to the excessively long ride queue while dueling is brought back (everyone will be forced to remove their shoes before getting strapped in :))

Lost Continent
  1. Poseidon's Curse (indoor flume ride)
  2. Enchanted Fountain (interactive mini-show)
  3. The Galleon of Sinbad (swinging ship) - 42"
  4. Coliseum le Greece (stunt SFX show)
WWOHP

  1. Ollivander's (interactive show)
  2. Dragon Challenge (dueling inverted coasters) - 54"
  3. The Triwizard Spirit Rally/Frog Choir (Streetmosphere)
  4. Flight of the Hippogriff (junior coaster) - 36"
  5. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (KUKA dark ride) - 48"
Next up! JP and the new area in place of Toon Lagoon!! :cat:

Now it's time for the behemoth of IOA... Jurassic Park!! :cat: With two HUGE areas left undeveloped (TE area and Thunder Falls plot) along with an under-utilized Camp Jurassic, a kid-only suspended track ride, and a poorly-conceived Discovery Center, it's time to see some change!

First off is the aforementioned Discovery Center... the exhibits are upgraded to have an interactive Triceratops in a mini-version of TE, a 4K 3D-produced birth of a baby dinosaur (with 64 different dino births available, in different ways - changes every time!). and a full scale T-Rex replica along with prehistoric-esque offerings in Burger Digs (retooled to be slightly fancier since the Thunder Falls Terrace will be gutted and demoed). But the big addition is Mr. DNA's Demonstrat-o-rama!, a cheeky homage to the idealistic Epcot dark rides of the 80s. This ride functions like an Omnimover edition of Carousel of Progress, and tells the story of how Jurassic Park was developed with "interviews" with staff members, test audiences, and Mr. John Hammond himself. You even get to see a fossil come to life before your very eyes. Overall, a nice family addition!

But what will go where Triceratops Encounter once was? Why, a new indoor show, of course!! Similar to the closed Alien Encounter at Magic Kingdom, Raptor Encounter is a rotating theater concept with fog and strobe effects out the wazoo! Dr. Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum will ham it up to the limit!!) is conducting research on a raptor found outside of the the Jurassic Park boundaries, in a remote area of Brazil. At first, all seems well until it uses telekinesis to shut the power off. Malcolm is frantic as his assistants get snatched by the newly formed aqua raptor now in the aquarium. The seats are still but the platform moves guests around as the sound of a raptor head-butting the tank is heard. He almosts get to the guests (air and "dragonbreath" will be applied) until Dr. Malcolm sedates the raptor and promptly kills it.

Camp Jurassic receives a clone of the elevated spinner Dino Soarin' while Pteranodon Flyers is upgraded to include a small show scene in a cave, and the track is extended to get the capacity past 1000, turning it into a suspended wild mouse "coaster" persay. The vehicles are also enclosed (cable cars carried by pteranodons now) so as to keep a low height requirement while still making the attraction adult-accessible.

In the Thunder Falls vicinity, Amber Mine Expedition has set up shop as a Big Thunder Mountain-sized family coaster with plenty of big drops and dips throughout... there's also switchtables to include backwards section and Velocipator AAs. The kinetic energy provided by this bustling mountain is like no other.

Toon Lagoon is replaced by.... Middle Earth! Only the Sweet Haven area (Popeye/Olive) won't be completely torned down but instead replaced by Mirkwood Barrel Escape (same concept as Popeye except more immersive theming) with Spider Haven replacing Me Ship the Olive (foundation is kept but trees and spiders are added to the Mirkwood haven)

The shops and restaurants are bulldozed for Rivendell - containing Elvish Delight (a musical chairswings ride for the little ones) and overall Elf themes.

Toon Lagoon Theater is bulldozed for The Shire (a mountain facade conceals the backstage area/Spidey extended queue) which also includes a Bag-End walkthrough of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins' homes.

Dudley is demoed for a new ride concept "Burst Through Mount Doom" - an indoor suspended shoot 'em up coaster (MIB meets Mummy meets Space Mountain) which helps you keep a new risk to the well-being of Middle-Earth at bay with the help of Gandalf, and King Aragorn. You shoot the trolls and Gollum in order to make your way through Mount Doom. The main villain takes the form of Smitehof - a new fire monster brewing in the top of the mountain through the power of the Ring that still lies there.

Jurassic Park

  1. Mr. DNA's Demonstra-O-Rama! (Omnimover/moving theater dark ride)
  2. Raptor Encounter (moving theater show) Age limit: 13 and up (possible ID system for this)
  3. Dino=Soarin' (elevated spinner)
  4. Pteranodon Flyers (suspended track ride) - 34"
  5. Jurassic Park Discovery Center (exhibits/shows)
  6. Jurassic Park River Adventure (splash boats) - 42"
  7. Camp Jurassic (outdoor, interactive play area)
  8. Amber Mine Expedition (indoor/outdoor mine train coaster) - 44"
Middle Earth
  1. Mirkwood Barrel Escape (river rapids) - 42"
  2. Spider Haven (play area)
  3. Burst Through Mount Doom (suspended shoot 'em up coaster) - 44"
  4. Bag-End Tours (walkthrough)
  5. Elvish Delight (mini-chairswings) - 32"
Marvel stays the same so 38 attractions overall in IOA :) plus 43 in USF so 81 attractions between the two.

A video game based 3rd gate with the following lands:

  1. Game Plaza
  2. Mushroom Kingdom (Mario/Yoshi/possibly a DK subland)
  3. Hyrule (Zelda)
  4. Azeroth (World of Warcraft)
  5. Pokeworld (Pokemon)
  6. Space Port (Star Fox/Halo/Metroid/Megaman/Resident Evil/Asteroids/etc)
  7. Retro Zone (Pac-Man/Sonic/Frogger/etc)
Coming soon!!! :D

It would have been cool if there was ever a ride added for Universal Orlando or Hollywood that starred The Pink Berets from "Hop". Even though the film wasn't one of the best films from Universal and Ilumination Entertainment. Out of all the characters from "Hop", The Pink Berets are my favorite because they are more action packed and take there job seriously.

Middle Earth; or any part of LOTR for that matter; won't be in any Universal Resort after NBCUniversal dropped the ball on the Tolkein family. And since Jurassic World has came and gotten itself an upcoming sequel, shouldn't it be logical to retheme Jurassic Park into Jurassic World?

Warner Bros has the rights to lotr too.
Haven't you heard? http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/201510/4806/ So basically, Warner Bros giving NBCUniversal the rights would be as likely as Nickelodeon coming back on NBCUniversal's doorstep and beg them to build more attractions in the parks; by the way @mahnamahna101 NBCUniversal and Nickelodeon had an argument and won't be collaborating anymore to build more attractions based around a Nickelodeon franchise in a Universal Resort. And just because they still have SpongeBob StorePants or the Nickelodeon characters on the Superstar Parade does not mean that NBCUniversal has the rights to build more of Nickelodeon.

Next... is a small update for Hollywood which would include a relocation of Horror Makeup Show and a massive T2 3D upgrade to include elements from the upcoming 2015 reboot/sequel.

NBCUniversal probably won't get the rights to MLP:FIM when they just bought Dreamworks Animation SKG., so shouldn't Woody Woodpecker's Kid Zone be replaced with a Dreamworks movie like Shrek or Kung Fu Panda?
