Hi All,

Sorry if i am sounding a bore, but i really want to plan my holiday perfectly

Universal....
Best way to book it, and also value for money
5 day ticket to do all 3 parks?
3 day ticket, spend 1 day in each park?
Can we do everything worthwhile in a day per park?

Is Universal Express worth getting or do people think its a waste of money?

Universal Express is the single greatest theme park add on. A game changer on how to tour the parks.

If you are interested in Express Passes, and are planning on at least 3 days at Uni, the best option is to stay at one of Uni's deluxe resorts. You get express passes for your entire party for everyday of your stay including chech-in/check-out days. Meaning if you stay one night, you get 2 full days of express passes.

Ok, yeah, it's easier to make the math work for a family of 4.

Also Uber/Lyft are the most cost effective local transport.

You might be better off with a seasonal pass? I didn't see when you are going to Universal? First off the AP's are park hoppers which is useful. Seasonal passes have black out dates so that might not work for you. The big advantage with an AP is you get a good room discount at the high end express pass hotels making them pretty reasonable. The numbers work much better for me since we are a family of 4. In my case it's much cheaper to book the high end hotel with everyone getting an express pass as opposed to staying in a cheaper hotel and buying 4 express passes. Express passes are not cheap at all. https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/tickets-packages/annual-passes/promo/index.html

The 5 day 3 park ticket is a pretty good deal. BTW usually you get 10% off for a using an Amex card. Not sure if they will do that with promotional tickets? With 5 days I would do the one park a day tickets. Depends on how much you want to spend.

You have many options some dependent on the time of year. Personally I have never bought an express pass and probably won't ever. I have used them because they came with the room and can cover many attractions quickly if you want. We showed up at 3:30 to check in and we headed right out to the parks, we literally finished a park by 8:00 closing then headed to City Walk for dinner. We did everything we wanted to in that park. 5 days with express passes is actually over kill if you ask me. Even 2 parks in 3 days won't need an EP.

Another option is you can always add EP to your tickets while at the park. If crowd are heavy maybe spend the money the last day getting an EP and hitting everything again that you liked? Many many options. LOL. Good luck.

Hi, I am visiting from the UK with a 7YO (only 2 of us) so I don't think an AP would be good value as I wont be returning

Not returning doesn’t necessarily mean a pass is not a good option. You need to look at the prices and the benefits. A five day three park park-to-park ticket is about $50 cheaper than a three park season pass but it doesn’t offer discounts on multi-day tickets (your son’s ticket), dining, merchandise and even Blue Man Group. The 20% off on Blue Man Group alone could cover about half that price difference.

Ok, I'm confused.....
I want to Visit the Universal complex for 4 days..... 2 at US and one at each UIOA and VB......
I want to visit Blue Man Group on one of those days......
How could it be cheaper with AP?
