We are planning a trip to Universal April 18-25 and see that they recently reduced hours on every single day of our trip. Saturday, April 18, is now 9AM-9PM (previously was 9AM-10PM) while the rest of the week is mostly 9AM-6PM (previously was 9AM-7PM).
Although I've seen these hours for slow periods (such as late January), I don't think I've every seen Universal close so early (6PM) for the regular season. Are others seeing the same type of hours reductions for other time periods?
I've heard from a few sources that park attendance is not down that much but that people are cutting back on their vacation costs (e.g. staying at less expensive hotels). Therefore, I suppose they are doing this to save money. Any other ideas what's going on?
