I was thinking about Universal and all of the expansion they are doing, and the I wondered what they should do after the finish HP. I though it would be cool if they added a Fast and Furious ride using the TT technology. I read that idea somewhere online. I don't know where to put it since I've never been there. What do you guys think they should add?

A Fast and Furious ride could be kind of cool.

I've always thought a Skull island area would be really cool. It could include some type of coaster or water attraction and a version of King Kong 360 3D

I think you can expect the 3D 360 technology relatively soon!

All of these things will probably be a reality soon as well. Universal has no intention of resting on their Harry-Potter-Related Laurels.

Shrek will most likely be on it's way out in Five years. The one thing on your list that I don't want is Terminator Re-Do. It's one of the most perfect attractions ever created, no touching!

I think it would be good if they added a 'Forbidden Forest' section to the Wizarding World, with a top scan ride themed around Aragog the spider.

Also, it would be nice if they re-themed either Toon Lagoon or the Lost Continent to 'Middle Earth'. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges could possibly become 'The Shire Barrel Boats'. :D

A Jurassic Park expansion also is needed. I like the idea of a 'Pterodactyl' flying coaster, a 'Lab Tours' dark ride near the Discovery Center (perhaps an omnimover?), and also a re-vamp of the animatronics on the River Adventure, they are starting to look slightly dated.

An expansion of Seuss Landing, to include a Mt. Crumpit Coaster (from The Grinch) similar to Big Thunder Mountain would also be great, as well as some kind of Lorax attraction.

And it would be great if they re-themed Marvel Superhero Island to 'DC Superhero Island', and perhaps added a few new rides. This is because obviously Disney have just bought Marvel and also if Man of Steel is a hit Superman and Batman attractions will probably attract bigger crowds.

Over at Universal Studios, I think an expansion of Springfield is already underway, so the only thing I would say is perhaps replacing Fear Factor with a Fast and Furious stunt show (although that might not go well next to the Wizarding World expansion), and in the future replacing Shrek with another 4D film, maybe Hop or another Illumination one?

I like your ideas. I think DC would be a good fit for universal as well! JP needs another thing to do just not sure what it should be. I think an omnimover through the compound showing how they create the dinosaurs would be kind of cool!

They'd need to pry DC out of six flags hands

It aggravates me that they haven't done anything with Fast & Furious. They make 6 movies but not a single attraction for something with so much potential.

I got my fingers crossed for a Bikini Bottom replacement for Kids Zone.

Animal Actors location could be used for a Simpsons house walk through.

T2:3D and Shrek 4D are in need of replacements now too.

At Studios, Shrek, T2 and Twister should be replaced. I'd also like to see new shows replace FFL and Animal Actors, which are both lousy.

Unfortunately, it sounds like E.T. is also on it's way out, but I'm gonna pretend that's not true.

Fast and Furious would make for an interesting attraction, but to do it right it would require a decent chunk of land, which neither park has at the moment.

Shrek should be replaced with another family friendly attraction.

T2 I'd like to see replaced with a similar style action themed 3-D film. Now, technically Fast and Furious could work here, but I'd rather that be a ride. A Riddick themed film would be interesting...

Twister is an interesting one... There's not a lot of room to work with, so a similar special effects themed attraction seems to make the most sense. Then you have to consider Disaster, the other special effects themed attraction in the park.
My suggestion is a special effects show that goes behind the scenes and showcases how the effects we see movies are created.

I'd enclose the Fear Factor theater and use it for one of two things: a Harry Potter themed Defense Against the Dark Arts Class or a Broadway style musical.

Animal Actors I would replace with a Dreamworks themed stage show.

Speaking of Dreamworks, Kids Zone will be re-themed for Dreamworks, with the exception of E.T.

Woody Woodpecker would be rethemed to How to Train Your Dragon, Fivel's Playground would be rethemed to The Croods, Curious George would be demolished and replaced with Madagascar: A Crate Adventure from Singapore, a new Shrek dark ride and themed eatery would be built on the former Hard Rock Cafe plot and Barney would be replaced with an interactive Kung-Fu Panda show.

I'll post my IoA ideas in a sec.

IoA is in a difficult position because there isn't a whole lot you can do to expand it. The two areas to work with are replacing Marvel and replacing Lost Continent.

My first suggestion for replacing Marvel was a Sci-Fi land so you can replace Spider-Man with Transformers. Since that ain't happening I'd suggest DC. Spider-Man would be replaced by a Batman Archam Asylam ride, Hulk would be replaced by Superman, Storm Force is replaced by The Flash and Dr. Doom is replaced by The Joker.

Lost Continent is fairly small now that Harry Potter took over most of the land, however it does have two attractions that are a decent size. My suggestion? Middle Earth. Yeah, it's next to Harry Potter, but LOTR/The Hobbit is a different beast. I'd convert Posiedon into a Mines of Morria roller coaster and the Sinbad theater into Hobbiton, which is a walk through attraction with themed resturants and shops. I'd also include the Prancing Pony themed eatery.

ET is absolutely not on it's way out, it will stay more or less forever.

Second, what the heck does everyone have against terminator, it is one of the most immersive theme park shows ever created, it's great, and there is absolutely nothing about it that doesn't hold up today.

Well, someone's a little sensitive.

See this is what I'm talking about! You can make some very smart comments sometimes without thinking of how it affects its intended target. What if I had a family member who was in jail or dead from a smoking related crime? What if I had previously been bullied for being a sensitive person? When I post something on this forum, I hope to receive responses that either praise my idea or give me constructive criticism to improve my attempt at art. I would hope that my first reply isn't always "Jdm, what are you smoking?" Please be considerate and kind...

Get over yourself mate. You can't expect anyone on this forum to know your life story. I figured that "what do you smoke?" was a sarcastic phrase in America when someone made a wild accusation, like it is here in Australia. I must have misjudged that, but don't expect an apology from me. You're just being over sensitive and starting problems for no reason.
