Let’s hope they can actually dispatch that quickly. The hippogriff coaster line crawls and is simpler to load. But perhaps Express is the issue there?

Coaster aside, it looks like the rest of this land will be visually stunning.
Yeah I mentioned theoretically cause I am not too confident that it'll hit the 60-sec mark. Hippogriff actually does a good job at dispatching within 60-secs, but since Universe prioritizes express, it slows down standby.

Of course, I’d rather be able to walk to 2 parks and City Walk and bus to 1 park than……

Not when the one park will be FAR supreme compared to the other 2.

If I were doing a 4 night stay I’d dedicate 3 park days to Epic and split the 4th day 50/50 among Studio and Island

((and on a personal note City Walk has so little draw for me so it barely make any consideration))

Very few will feel Epic is “far supreme” to USF+IOA+CityWalk+Volcano Bay. I’m glad you feel that way but I’ve never heard of anyone suggesting a brand new park is better than the existing ones.

CityWalk is where you go to eat because 80-90% of the in-park food at Universal is so bad as to essentially be inedible.

I take it you have no faith in Epic’s food based off your(founded)history with Studio and Island eats.

If Mel’s Drive in and Burger Digs are indicative of Universal food quality then I’d say you have a strong case.

I’m still holding out hope for Epic food

You will get no pushback from me but it is puzzling, I've been to several functions that Universal catered and the food was excellent. Not to do it in the parks might be to drive more traffic out to CW and the hotels but they are capable of making lots of savory or sweet food that is miles above burgers and popcorn

I feel like Universal was getting better with their food overall just before Covid, and while some of their newer offerings have been good (though, not my personal preference) their previously existing locations seem to be getting worse. And that's not even getting to the value/prices. I do think calling 90% of their offerings inedible is a bit hyperbolic, but it's definitely not as good as it has been or could be at that price, even considering the venue and "captive audience" factors. I cringe when I get all but a handful of items at the parks now (mainly the Butterbeer ice cream and the flatbreads at Volcano Bay) seeing the prices, so I definitely tend to eat off-site or before/after going to the parks if I can. That's more a value and selection of things I like vs. things being inedible situation, though. I'm hopeful that a fresh start will give all of Epic's food a leg up, and not just on the unique and "fancier" options for quick service, but also for the standard fair like burgers and such. If they can do that, hopefully it could translate to the other parks as well. Honestly, just doing the Volcano Bay style flatbreads in Islands and USF would be a good start.

Thanks as always to @bioreconstruct.bsky.social

Aside from the fact that Florida is getting its own clone of Foxwoods, I find the portal placement quite odd for both Nintendo and Potter with each set behind another structure. The Potter one is baffling as they seemed to have just plopped a restaurant right in front of it.

I expect that's because they don't think they need to be super visible due to their popularity and the relative "small" nature of their land entrances compared to HTTYD and Monsters, among other reasons. Also will probably help keep the central areas clearer for the show at night and keeping people moving easier if there are waits to get into those lands.

New?
I did not claim Epic will be far supreme because it’s “new”.

[[That ghastly thing Minion Villain is fairly new while the masterpiece Pirates in Anaheim is already 57 years old. Guardians is pretty new and it is a great ride and Tom Sawyer rafts are old as the park they’re in but offer nothing special to me. Old vs new is not what makes or breaks the attraction.]]

I make the claim based off what is scheduled and planned. For example Donkey Kong will be stellar because of what it will offer not because of when it will be built, no?

What a bizarre response. New parks are small because they are new. IoA, for example, has far more to do than Epic will because they’ve added to it over the last 25 years. Epic is impressive for a new park but I imagine the average vacationer will spend a day there and 3 or 4 at the existing complex. Epic will have, what…11 rides and a couple shows? Remind me how many are at IoA and USF.

Is it possible that Donkey Kong can be a great ride but IoA a better park in 2025? You’re being a bit reductive.

First it was age ( “new” ) and now you moved on to size and quantity of attractions (“small”) neither of which why I proclaim Epic will be far supreme.

Epic will be easily the best because of the quality in the attractions and park facades; it’s the theming and details I’m after not its age nor attraction count.

I very clearly explained why new parks do not require much time from the typical guest.

Enjoy the façades. I can’t wait for the Fireworks Over Foxwoods Nighttime Spectacular.

I do think the monsters E-ticket and HP E-ticket should be spectacular. Still waiting for an impressive Nintendo ride.

I have no idea what people are arguing over, but Epic is a serious park from the start.

Epic will have more "ride" attractions than Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom (excluding any sort of theater show).

Epic is a great park, but it's not like they'll skip IOA entirely. IOA and USF are more than "half day" parks, they have issues, but far from being a park like DAK that can be easily completed by lunch.

From foods to how many things to do in the park to nighttime extravaganzas to hotel sight lines….. .agreed! What are we arguing over.

I have full faith this will easily be Universal’s best park; Hollywood, Beijing, Singapore and the other 2 Orlando parks as well as Osaka won’t be nearly as good.
