I feel like Universal was getting better with their food overall just before Covid, and while some of their newer offerings have been good (though, not my personal preference) their previously existing locations seem to be getting worse. And that's not even getting to the value/prices. I do think calling 90% of their offerings inedible is a bit hyperbolic, but it's definitely not as good as it has been or could be at that price, even considering the venue and "captive audience" factors. I cringe when I get all but a handful of items at the parks now (mainly the Butterbeer ice cream and the flatbreads at Volcano Bay) seeing the prices, so I definitely tend to eat off-site or before/after going to the parks if I can. That's more a value and selection of things I like vs. things being inedible situation, though. I'm hopeful that a fresh start will give all of Epic's food a leg up, and not just on the unique and "fancier" options for quick service, but also for the standard fair like burgers and such. If they can do that, hopefully it could translate to the other parks as well. Honestly, just doing the Volcano Bay style flatbreads in Islands and USF would be a good start.
