I was hoping they would go for a Monorail type option from City Walk. A bus is just not sexy.
There's too much 3rd party owned land between the two areas for any sort of transport like that. And even though Universal is paying for some of the road, it's still public access so a private transport wouldn't be allowed.I was hoping they would go for a Monorail type option from City Walk. That’s not true. Private Brightline construction is occurring right now in public rights of way.it's still public access so a private transport wouldn't be allowed.
What's so hard to remember about ASTRA ORBA and GAIA SOLA?I can already picture the confusion that ensues over these names.

what about a goldola systemThere's too much 3rd party owned land between the two areas for any sort of transport like that. And even though Universal is paying for some of the road, it's still public access so a private transport wouldn't be allowed.
Universal could build any type of transit system they desire. The big hurdle is getting all of the agreements in place with the various landowners. Following existing rights of way for roads would limit the number of landowners but would still involve the input of adjoining properties as community stakeholders.what about a goldola system

They did have a patent for a gondola/hybrid system. I always assumed that was to get to the other resort from the current CityWalk area.what about a goldola system
It would still have to go over property not owned by Universal.what about a goldola system
They like patents but why reinvent the wheel. They don't design their own coasters but they employ companies that do. Same for a gondola, the best in the world are Swiss, Austrian and German which is why they didn't string some cables up under a train for the HE but had a gondola company design and build it.They did have a patent for a gondola/hybrid system. Which could be used for inter-park transport when the 4th gate is built, maybe. but not between campuses. They did have a patent for a gondola/hybrid system. I always assumed that was to get to the other resort from the current CityWalk area.
Right, what I was getting at with the patent would be a gondola system for the inter park transport and the hybrid system to drive on the dedicated roads between the two campuses.Which could be used for inter-park transport when the 4th gate is built, maybe. but not between campuses.
They are financially contributing the Kirkman Road extension, literally so they can have dedicated buslanes and a junction on to Epic Boulevard that has no stopping, the 4 mile journey will be signifcantly quicker compared to taking Universal Boulevard presently.
what do you mean by hybrid system?Right, what I was getting at with the patent would be a gondola system for the inter park transport and the hybrid system to drive on the dedicated roads between the two campuses.
The patent was a gondola that detached from the cable and became a self-driving vehicle.what do you mean by hybrid system?
How about if they used it for a tracked ride on the ground that grabs the cable and flies at parts? Mash up of a flying simulator and spiderman. It would attach and detach from the cable and the track automatically and seamlessly? The patent was a gondola that detached from the cable and became a self-driving vehicle.
