I didn't take pictures of it myself because thats not really something I do, but there are pictures on twitter further up showing off some of the problems. It's definitely mostly around Celestial park as well..

For a brand new park, this does look really bad but funny how its not being talked about at all compared to another park themed middle section of a Florida park that was just built that also struggles with upkeep (but not like this)
Wow! This is EPCOT in ground lighting level of failure.
Having said that, this could probably be repaired where as the EPCOT in ground lighting will never be fixed and looking/working as intended.

Having seen both recently, this is much worse than the problem with the Epcot ground lighting. ALL of Celestial Park has cracked, poorly patched walkways literally every few feet. The Epcot ground lighting problem is isolated to the hub area and only an issue at night.

Considering that I saw routine maintenance in other parks and hotels that were incredibly quick and didn’t seem to need nearly as much red tape, I’m gonna say that the way they are doing it is pretty slow. Things like impact to surrounding areas should have been figured out when they built it and if they supposedly had already cleaned ir before in the 5 months this park has been opened, which I sure hope they have, it would not need all that much work to have done it again. Should be a relatively simple and routine process which they should have the materials for already or a way to quickly access them because they’ve built this land before and should realize that painted walkways get ugly really fast. I work in corporate America, I know about red tape but I also know that there should be ways to mitigate how long it takes to fix these very obvious problems

I really, really don’t want to doxx myself.

What I will say is this: I’ve got at least one foot in the industry at a fairly high level - and a few decades in the trenches of corporate America. There’s logic to the process.

If you’re in the park often - like some people here are - you’ll notice things are being fixed. But trying to fix everything at once would cause more disruption for guests than leaving some unsightly (but safe) areas alone for now.

I will always have something to pull up as the regular pixie duster here now 🤣

Only joking, yeah this is bad. Theres multiple areas where I can see the budget just left around the park. It is noticeable in many portions but overall still like the park quite a lot and hope to see improvements asap, especially of course to capacity but these issues SHOULD be easier to solve (hypothetically) I just worry they won't be as they aren't as guest ""important"" perhaps to a lot of people (but should be)

Wow, we never see these reasons given for Disney issues. Things like this ruin entire vacations we're told when they happen there :D
Where is the brigade people saying that Epic should be charging less? That Universal isn't the same anymore since they can't fix anything? That Universal is overcharging for an inferior product? Perhaps that they cut corners? Or that the whole middle of EU is ruined?

I will be pulling this up anytime people say stuff like that about Disney XD

You know what's funny?

What is the issue? Some lights and concrete are broken at Epic and you want people to be as loud about it as they are about Disney massacring Epcot?

Yes, considering the reaction with the in-ground lighting and concrete problems at Epcot, I would expect AT MINIMUM the same reaction for this to fail just as fast, if not faster.
Unlike Disney... Uni didn't establish a reputation for decades for it's pursuit of show quality and attention to detail.

This is what your false equivalency misses... People aren't upset about a broken light, they were upset Disney wasn't keeping up with it's own standards.

Sorry but you can't also then say that Universal is any worthy competition or that this is close to the best park in the world if you can't even keep up with basic maintenance standards and excuse it because they didn't "pinky promise" that they won't have cracked concrete, broken effects, etc within 5 months of opening.

Current cost of Epic ticket is $169 for today, non peak day. If you want to play with the big boys and charge like the big boys, you can but you need the standards of the big boys 🤷‍♂️

I know you are ok with declining maintenance standards but a good chunk of us aren't
Oh, are you concerned?

Ok. Are you intentionally being obtuse? The context of the broken lights at Epcot is that it is part of a sequence of failings that has significantly ruined one half of the park over multiple years. So yeah, not just about broken lights.

The context of the broken lights at Epic is growing pains of a new park that the leaders need to get a handle on.

Stop pretending...please. Jesus.
