Talk about security being wat too strict.
They should have better things to worry about than minors taking 1 sip....... 1 sip is no problem....
Now, if there are 16 year olds walking around smashed out of their minds, that is different

nope...how big is one sip?

Is my sip equal to your two sips?

Where do you draw the line?

Zero tolerance is the best official answer. Individual cases should be judged on their own merits however.

I'd like to point out that even 1 sip is against the law. And "1 sip" easily becomes "I drank the whole thing" if no one is paying attention.

And yes, unfortunately, teenagers purposely getting plastered can be found on a regular basis at HHN, which is why this policy is in effect.

I agree. I'd consider myself lucky I just got kicked out and didn't get turned over to the police with changes of contributing to a minor.

totally agree with how strict they have to be at these things, some of the staffs attitude towards enforcing it wasnt great!

at my first ever HHN in September, i had just turned 21 and was celebrating with a 2 week trip from the UK. alot of staff wished me a happy birthday but there were a few who even refused to even check my ID before telling me I was too young to be served.
Queing for one of the mazes i bought 2 drinks, one for me and one for my boyfriend (after being told that i was too young to be served and the lady serving two people before she would even look at my ID). I handed both the drinks to my boyfriend so that I could put my money and ID back in my purse. She then shouted, loudly enough to embarass us, that he was not allowed to hold two drinks at a time and she had to take one off him. Fair enough if we both were carrying two but it was clear one was mine and I think this was a bit too much!
