Looks good so far Buddy.

I think I know the names of the parks, but I don't want to spoil it. So I'll just let you unveil them.

You know what? I’ll just reveal the resort name (and some details) right now.

Universal Australia Resort
Located in the outskirts of Sydney, Australia, this theme park resort contains two theme parks (Universal Studios Australia and Universal’s Fantastic Worlds), each with many lands to uncover. There is also a waterpark, a CityWalk, and a few resort hotels to stay at.

What lands and attractions do the parks have? What IPs will have representation? Will there a DW? The answers to all of those questions will be revealed during the presentation. Next post will give summaries of the lands at USA (yep, that’s the acronym lol). When will it release? It’s a mystery.

Ohhhhhhhhhh

I guessed wrong on the first one, I thought it was UV for Universal Vegas.

But I got the second one though. Nice to see it being used again. It maybe a better name than the one they actually went with. Universal's Epic Universe is like naming a park Disney's Disneyland 😃😃😃

I think I put a UV because I was originally planning on putting this resort in Italy, France, Spain, the UK, Canada, or even bluesky (though it might’ve been a UU for Universal something)

Great country Australia, they definitely badly need a Disney park. Plus there's some cool Crocodile stuff they could put in.

Unfortunately I think Louis from Princess and the Frog is a Gator, but you can take solace mate. Because, Tick Tock from Peter Pan is a Croc.

The Lands of Universal Studios Australia
C4437A1A-51E6-4C94-8224-3D7808DDC365.jpeg

If you saw the map on this thread’s first post, you probably had an idea of what the lands are. Today, they will be revealed (later on there will be posts that explain each land in more detail). As for that Epic Universe-lookalike, that will be after this park is finished. Here are all of the lands!

Port of Beginnings: A middle eastern-inspired port town that was founded by a group of explorers. This land marks the beginning and end of your adventure to UA (that is, unless you take that British train out to the other park).

Dreamworks Destination: The home of many of your favorite Dream Works characters, including Kung Fu Panda and Shrek. There is an Asian area, a forest, and a castle area.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Hogsmeade): A staple of every Universal park (except for Singapore for some reason), this version is similar but different to the other versions, since you can be assigned a house here.

Ancient Greece: This original land acts as a mashup between Singapore’s Egypt land and the Lost Continent. Can you brave the wrath of a certain petrifying monster?

Jurassic World: Another Universal staple, this time themed around a theme park filled with dinosaurs. I bet the rides here are fun.

Cybertron: A futuristic looking land similar to the Transformers land at Beijing and IOA’s Marvel land, there is an intriguing ride here, as well as some shapeshifting robots.

Next time on our adventure through this hypothetical resort, we will be exploring Port of Beginnings, I will probably post that next week. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!

Port of Beginnings

(Pictured above: Somewhere near Tel Aviv, idk where because this isn’t my photo)

Every man’s adventure has a beginning. Every journey to Universal Studios Australia also has a beginning. Here at the park, you begin your adventure at the Port of Beginnings.

Founded by an explorer named Dominious Wilford and his colleagues (who are named after other key people who helped build the resort), and modeled after port towns in middle eastern countries like Israel, Turkey, and Lebanon, guests are greeted by the sight of the Universal Australia Hotel, inspired by Disneyland Paris’ entrance hotel, Universal Beijing’s entrance hotel and the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul (the hotel also serves as the park’s ”weenie”).

Passing under the hotel, guests emerge in the middle of the port’s main street. The first thing they see is the Solar Muffin Bakery, which serves baked goods, sandwiches, and breakfast, on the right. On guests’ left is the Universal Trading Company, the shop where you can get any and all Universal themed items, including wands, hats, toys, shirts, and books. Right next to it is the Portside Imports shop, which contains rare and imported goods from other countries. As you head along further, you will spot a Starbucks and the Island Candy Shoppe, which sells nothing but candy and sweet treats. A little bit upwards, next to the candy shop (and the closest establishment to the entrance of Cybertron) is the Nefis Grill, a counter service restaurant that serves casual American and Australian dishes and adventurous Middle Eastern dishes. Across from it is one of three table service restaurants in the park, Confisco Tavern. There is a mix of Turkish, Italian, Egyptian, Spanish, and other Arabian food served here, with less adventurous options for the children. A bar is also located next to this restaurant, which is also the closest establishment to the entrance of DreamWorks Destination. At the end of the street, where a castle would be if this were a Disney park, is the land’s only “ride”, the Island Skipper Tours. Based on the defunct IOA attraction, you can either board a boat to Ancient Greece at the other side of the park, or you can do a round trip excursion through Universal Lagoon.

The path splits apart into two directions, Cybertron is to the left, and DreamWorks is to the right. In the next episode, we will be heading right and meeting some popular (and at times memetic) movie characters. Please stay tuned for what’s to come.

I like the backstory, it really sells the theming to the real park enthusiasts.

The hardcore theme park fans... like most of the people that roam these boards. Who go to the parks for attractions, but also for the theming and ambiance. Because without the latter two elements what are we left with... Six Flags???

Continuing on from Port of Beginnings, we arrive at a tranquil Chinese-inspired area. This area of the land is themed to Kung Fu Panda. The first things guests see are wagons and stalls that sell egg rolls and Chinese/panda merchandise. You will also see a tea cups ride named Mr. Ping's Noodle Twirl, which is themed to the character to KFP3. There are also two bigger buildings in this land. The first is Po’s Noodle House, a counter service restaurant which serves Chinese food. The other is the Ride of Awesomeness, a thrilling Gerstlauer spinning coaster themed to the events of the first film (it’s also similar to a ride in Italy).

The Kung Fu Panda themed area transitions into a Trolls-themed land. The atmosphere is inspired by the setting of both Trolls movies, and you can also spot some characters hiding around, if you know where to look. Branch’s Nook is a quick service restaurant that serves colorful “troll” food and sweets. If you walk through the castle of Poppy, you will enter a dark ride, Trolls: A Musical Journey. This is a slow moving boat ride for the whole family, it is based on the events of the first film (though that Bergen scene is kinda scary). The land also has a themed Huss Troika named the Troll Mixer, it was apparently built by the trolls after the events of the second film. The sequel also sees representation in the form of a playground.

Once you emerge from the troll forest, you will soon enter a medieval area based on the Shrek franchise. The meme ogre constantly makes appearances in this land, as do Fiona, Donkey, Gingy, and other characters. The first thing you see is a medieval-looking theater, you can see multiple different films here, though it is usually Shrek 4D (other films that can be shown here involve other DreamWorks and Universal IPs). Next door is the Far Far Away Tavern, a counter service restaurant where you can get European foods while listening to a band play iconic songs like Smash Mouth’s All Star. However, there is also a large castle in this land. It is the entrance to Shrek’s Giant Journey, a Vekoma suspended coaster that has a 44 inch height requirement, meaning that kids and adults can ride it. The coaster is themed to Shrek escaping from fairy tale characters (and spoiler alert, there are some surprising drops).

After we leave Shrek and the DreamWorks characters behind, the landscape changes to that of a castle in the Scottish countryside. That landscape marks the entrance to Hogsmeade, but we will explore that next time.

You know, I have officially learned a lesson here. Don’t bite more than you can chew. For the rest of the posts for this resort, I will list all of the remaining ideas I had (I planned out this entire resort) with short descriptions. After that, Universal Australia will be completed. I do know that my next project in this forum will be another video game, but I won’t tell you much else.
