Universal 360 problem last night

Last night (7/17), there was a problem with one of the Universal 360 "globes." What I've done for the other three times I've seen the show is stand behind Boardwalk Snacks in Amity --- it's quiet and very few people are around which is nice. Anyways, the side of the globe facing that area was not getting a projection. A manager came out and told us it wouldn't be working and we should find another spot to watch from (unless you were fine with looking at a black screen or another globe down the way).

I went to the Amity/Expo bridge to watch the other side, but a person came around saying the whole globe wasn't going to work. It was showing the pre-show projections already and it did infact show the film.

BTW, something has got to be done about crowd control after the show....it's hell getting out of the park. They should do something like keeping the park open until 11pm which should keep some folks in for that extra hour.

Is this show still officially ending on August 12th? I've noticed that the parks hours start to shrink after that, first to 8:00 PM and then by the end of the month to 7:00 PM. I don't see how they could run the show when they're closing the park that early.

I think they are doing something about the crowds. I know starting this week I've been hearing the show at around 9:15. I'm not sure if that is the end of the show or the start.

I've still been hearing it at 9:50pm or so... But a few nights ago I heard some fireworks well after 11pm...

As for the crowds, Wishes has the same problem and I don't think that many people would stay for an hour after the fireworks were over because they stay a few extra hours just for the fireworks... At MK though they've opened up the backstage area behind Mainstreet to help add additional traffic routes out of the park. Unfortunately the only place Universal could do this would be to route people out by Nickelodeon and out by HRC but there's only one turnstile down there :dazzle: Best they can do is open the red carpet gate...

It's ALWAYS hell getting through there after TNA Wrestling gets out when the park is closed.... :brick:

Opening the gate is THE best thing to do. Out of all the times I've seen 360 so far, I've seen it opened twice. The first time was on opening night, and the second time was a few days later, but on that day they actually waited a while before opening it (there were some managers standing around looking like they were about to open it and 2-3 minutes later they did, but this was a long time after I had gotten up there from Amity). The last time I saw the show they didn't open the gate but they opened the turnstiles. I was right next to them when they did it so I got right out but it was probably tough for the thousands of others behind.

When I saw it on July 5th they had opened the gate... but like you said it was a delayed thing... I had enough time to get from Richter's to the front, while stopping for a pic at Mel's and then wading through some crowd before it opened...
