Well, today was a big day in our household! My 3 year old son just hit 40 inches!! Now, most people would have no idea what the significance of 40 inches is. But, to us, it's everything - it's SM, TT, Soarin' and the list goes on. I booked our trip for this September back in March. He turned 3 March 30th and at his doctor's appointment measured at 38 inches. Since then he's been eating all his vegetables and protein and every week we've measured him. It seemed every few weeks he grew a little. There were a few weeks in there where things weren't looking so good :( But, in the month of June alone he grew 1 inch to hit that 40 inch mark! This morning he was absolutely ecstatic. :D Does your family have milestones unique to Disney?

YAAAY. I remember those days when my son was just under the ride height requirement and he was sooo disappointed. One of my sons milestones was when he got his first part time job and could earn his own money to take on the trip for souvineers he wanted. Another was when he was old enough to go off on his own and wander around in the parks without us. Then the big one was when he was old enough and went to Disney without us. SIGH... they do grow up.

This thread made me smile a little. I measured my niece for months in my office as we cataloged her growth in anticipation of WDW rides. We would look for the ride height requirements on the internet each time and make a big deal of every one. I still have the tape measure in my office, but no kiddie.

HaHa! My closet door has lines all up the end of it with the names of the WDW rides with height requirements on it. Then, in pencil, are the growth lines of my kids! Each ride was a milestone for us! One more ride that ALL of us could ride. We started when my daughter was 2. My kids are 13 and 21 now. I told my husband when we move that closet door is coming with us.
