UnDiscovered Future Tour - price increase?

Does anyone know if/why the price went up? I could have sworn that last December it was around $50, but I missed it because of my wedding. They also didn't take reservations at that time, you just showed up. Now it's $64 and you have to call for reservations. Has anyone been before and know if the price was lower last year? I hate it when they do this!

I have gone through reviews as early as 2011 and the lowest price I see is $55. As to why they have gone up I can only say that prices at Disney and everywhere else go up pretty much every year.

I am also wondering if you might be thinking of something else as the UnDiscovered Future world tour requires a reservation or at least it has every time I have done it.

No, this is the one I'm thinking of. I'm annoyed now that I didn't go last year when it was cheaper - it was probably $55. When I called last year they told me just to show up.

That is odd. I have done a number of tours and never been told to just "show up" I was even able to reserve behind the seeds which is one that you can just show up for with little problem. If and when you call again call 407-WDW-TOUR and you should go directly to tour booking.

Yep, that's what they told me! I thought it was pretty odd at the time, but they said, "just be there at 9am." I asked them how that works since the park didn't open until later, but they told me it would just work out, basically. They would know... Maybe the CM I talked to just had no idea what he was doing.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you are correct.

We needed a reservation when we took the tour. And I'm pretty sure we paid more, but, we had the Disney Visa discount.
