I don't really know much about either, but there are numerous things to consider. Does one cost more? Is one a longer commute? Does one offer better courses than the other?
Sorry, I'm no real help.![]()
This is hard... Good luck.. I guess we are neighbors.. we are in Wilmington also!!!!![]()
My son is headed to ECU and my daughter to UNCW.. but if they are lucky enough to make it to either of those I am sure it would be state...This is hard... Good luck.. I guess we are neighbors.. we are in Wilmington also!!!!![]()
I am not sure... "its a small world after all"No way, really?! How are we just finding this out now?
i just spent time picking the right college. I picked based on campus visits (I liked the one I chose best) finances (though it wasn't the cheapest, scholarships made it feasible) and programs (very career-oriented, which is what I was looking for). I would suggest you visit both campuses (if time allows, that pesky May 1 deadline is coming), look at the finances, and look at the programs they offer. If one is a better fit than the other, go for it. Also decide if you're willing to commute.
Visit both programs and talk to professors and students....Comfort level is super important.
A UNC diploma looks nicer on the wall.
Some schools offer a virtual tour. Check out the website to see if they do. I wasn't looking at schools in that area, so I have no opinion!I actually won't be able to visit until after the deadline for UNC! I live a couple hours away and am currently in school and all booked up til the week I'm going to see my brother graduate! He is going with me the day before to see the campus. Unfortunately, that's May 16th and I have to make a decision by May 15th. That's why I've been asking around for opinions!![]()
I'm using the GI Bill so cost is not a problem.
UNC will be an hour commute for the first 6 months due to living arrangements, while State would be about 30-40 minutes.
No clue, but I know UNC is ranked higher. I'm easily intimidated.
