I really am getting tired of so many people putting SGE down. I don't think that this attraction is 'garbage' or really a 'huge dissapointment' when it comes to disney attractions. The theming everywhere on this ride is futuristic, entertaining, and detailed - even down to the intergalactic language found everywhere that can be translated into english. The animatronic stitch is so impressive and technologically advanced that it really shows the lengths that they went to on this attraction. My whole family really enjoys this one much more than alien encounter because the whole family can it an enjoy it together. Both times that I have been on it (dec 04) (may 05) the crowd was laughing and screeching. People say that there is no storyline but I really find that the pre-show and chambers create a great story for all to understand. I just don't see how this ride can be put down so much for the amount of creativity that was put into it. This ride was not thrown together just to promote a character, as many think.

Thank you!
I loved AE - it was great. But, it did strike me as something odd to have put in the MK, being the stereotypical "kids" park. It was creepy, and scary, indeed. Perhaps it would have been better placed in MGM or Epcot Future World.
As I mentioned, I have not been on SGE, but from the positive responses I've gotten from family and people on here, it seems like a more appropriate attraction for the MK, since it uses a Disney character and has been toned down a bit, as far as the "terrorizing little kids" part.
I can respect the opinions of those who just don't enjoy the show because they feel it's childish, hard to follow and just a recycled mess of other attractions, but I still don't think the Imagineers just "threw" it together just to get a project done. WDI doesn't do that. But, if you just don't enjoy the attraction, then don't go on it. That's why I will never walk thru the Swiss Family Treehouse agian, or experience Sounds Dangerous at MGM, or drive the Indy Speedway (I can go visit the real one anytime I want!!). These attractions are still well-made, well-themed and impressive from an entertainment and technology perspective, but I just don't enjoy them for one reason or another - but again, I'm not going to say these attractions are "the worst attractions ever" or that they should be "bulldozed" because there are many people who DO enjoy them, and a lot of WDI work went into them.
