Unappreciated Disney Characters

They are from Disney's 1977 film "The Rescuers" who rescuers a girl named Penny who is an orphan. They later become an official couple in the sequel.

Here's them at Disneyland Paris.

The pairing of Bob Newhart with Eva Gabor as the voices of Bernard and Bianca was genius. And "The Rescuers" is a wonderful little film. It was a nice way for the last of the Nine Old Men to end their careers at Disney.

Here's a blast from the past: How about Bongo the Circus Bear! I remember listening to the story of Bongo on an LP as a child. I was definitely surprised that I didn't see a poster of him in Pete's Silly Sideshow.

I loved that segment from Fun and Fancy Free. It was funny and cute at the same time. I'm surprised he wasn't included for Storybook Circus.

This may sound weird, because she's one of the princesses, but Tiana! Whenever I go to the Disney store it's SO hard for me to find stuff with just her on it :( It's even hard with group princess items! She's one of my absolute favorites so it's a total bummer that I can't find her on a lot of stuff outside of the parks.

Also, she has so many cute outfits and barely any dolls :p A shame

The answer is easily the great Scrooge McDuck. Carl Barks left us with this masterpiece of a character and Disney pretty much just buries him on the ash heap of obscurity and brings him out once a year at Christmas. Ducktales arguably launched the renaissance of Disney animation and you would think they would be much more appreciative of him because of that. I'm a Scrooge collector and have 19 shirts of him and people are CONSTANTLY giving me props for my shirts but Disney just seems to want to shove everything else down our throats. I get irritated just thinking about it. I should probably just stop thinking about it. LOL!
