Ultimate FAIL??

How did the 3 or 4 year "see through the BS immediately"? They are too little.

I bet some of the Disney fanbois who slammed these kids earlier feel pretty embarrassed after reading this.

-Children who are tired and want to go home are an ultimate fail?
-Children who don't jump for joy & salivate because they're going to Disney World after being told they were going to a close friend's house should be slapped?
o_O

It's a theme park, people...not a cult.

What point in the video shows the kids getting slapped?

And I agree, this was not a fail on the parts of the kids. The mother should have known better. Some kids just do not really care so much about going to WDW.

Not in the video. FANS of WDW making comments such as that (re-read this thread), saying the kids should be slapped (and in other discusssions where this video got mentioned). Some fanbois got offended because WDW wasn't met with joyful shouting & celebrating by the kids in the video, and claimed they should "be slapped".

Ok, so my wife and I are leaving for the world on Saturday morning... My wife's sister left DW today to come back home. She called my wife a little bit ago and told her that they left early on their last day because .... THE KIDS WERE ASKING TO COME BACK HOME .... :eek:o_O:eek::eek: They have three kids age 9, 7 & 4 (i think)... Having kids asking to leave DW to come back home.... Ultimate FAIL or no ???

My opinion: uhm... YEAH!
Hard to tell, you would have to know how the parents were on the trip. I know some parents do things that actually make vacations painful, so simply saying its odd is really missing the fact that you weren't there to see how things were going or how the parents were making the trip. I know from my experience as a kid with a psychotic mom that I often wanted trips to be over sooner than later no matter where they were because being cooped up with her on a trip was never fun... And oddly enough, she had that perfect manners and front around friends and outside family, so only those in the immediate family knew what she was really like... So don't assume its a fail, it might be for reasons you don't fully understand.

Best way to see the "world" pace yourself. Give the kids pool time. Mid afternoon naps (for dad). Don't go with a plan that isn't flexible. And don't expect to see everything on your visit. Don't be afraid to miss an attraction if the line is too long. Move on to the next.

We are visiting WDW the third week of January Me aka DH, DW, DD(16), DS 19. My kids are acting like 8 yr olds in anticipation. Because my wife learned before kids that its about everyone having fun. Beside having dinner reservations and liking to be up and out early we don't have a schedule to keep. Plus we never drag another family member(s) along on an activity they choose not to do.

One question I have always had for the Mom's and Dad's that have a list, schedule, and unrealistic expectations of what can be accomplished during your stay at WDW. Have you asked the others in your party what they want???

My son and daughter have been to wdw 6 and 4 times respectively (7 to 10 day vacations) and never once said they wanted to go home early.

20 days and counting

When I go to Orlando I never want to throw in the towel and come home, I might like to call it a night and resume at the parks another day but that's about it :-).
