XBOX Price Drop in Europe - Microsoft will drop the XBOX price to €299 (199 Pounds .uk) as of April 26. Now, if you already paid €479 for your XBOX, you may feel a bit peeved after reading this. Microsoft will give everyone who already bought one, 2 games and an extra controller -- FOR FREE!

 I was on the phone to the Xbox customer line the moment I heard the price cut was happeneing, they were great and said that from 26th April, there is a form to complete and send back to them where you can choose your games. Not bad actually 2 games and a controller = £115.00 so I am quite happy - - finally :sohappy:

I'm curious, NowInc. What is your opinion regarding X-Box vs. Gamecube? I've heard that X-Box will offer more peripherals, but Gamecube has a more stable platform and slightly better graphics.

(I ask because I've noticed your background in education and career skills).

Personally...I think X-box is by FAR the better system....you cant even play DVDs on a gamecube...that to me is..dumb. Sega made that SAME mistake with the dreamcast and i thought no other company would do the same error...

I also think the gamecube is a far more "childish" system..both with the games they get..and the way the system is..its just not very "mature" to me...

They are both basicaly the same system "power wise"..you really wont notice the difference in the games...

Thanks for your input. My 13 year old has been eyeing them, but he already has PS2, PS, and N64 (no, he's not spoiled .:animwink: ).

He starts high school (9th grade) in the fall, and I'm seriously thinking about investing in a PC for him and his brother to share, instead of another game system. Then I can spend even more money in the long run keeping another PC in the house updated.:brick:
