Correct. The other flags aren’t official US flags. Probably missing a stripe or two. The only official flag is the one in the Main Street hub.
NO, There is an official, 50 star American flag at the entrance of EVERY PARK…as long as they are illuminated, they can stay up at night

No one has to follow the U.S. Flag Code. It was struck down by the Supreme Court as an infringement on the freedom of speech. It is up to each company/individual to do what they want. There is no protocol that Disney has to follow with the American flag, much less the UK flag.

She is deserving of a tribute but Disney typically stays away from anything related to a death. They don’t want guests who are vacationing to focus on anything that’s not upbeat and fun. You are supposed to separate yourself from the rest of the world while there.
That should include high prices!!

In the UK government buildings follow the government’s flag decision. Regional governments have some more leeway and private organisations and individuals can do as they please.

Where I am at the moment in Cornwall every flag is at half mast, even ones which are not formal flags (like company flags) but some were raised on Saturday when the new King was proclaimed which is the government’s advice.

The US Flag Code is federal law. However, since it is not mandatory, there is no penalty for not following it.

A company that is as supposedly all-American as Disney is not going to flout proper flag etiquette.

Negative. The U.S. Flag Code is still in place. The section specific to a penalty for desecration of the flag is what the Supreme Court ruled on. Everyone does not do whatever they want. No, it is not an infringement on freedom of speech.

I think the SCOTUS case was to allow homeowners to display the flag in restricted communities, it had free speech issues but I dont think the flag code was involved. Working from hazy memory

Yes, displaying of the U.S. flag in restricted communities (there are HOA's that have flag display restrictions) is an issue reviewed by SCOTUS. That said, yes "The United States Flag Code establishes advisory rules for display and care of the flag of the United States. It is Section 1 of Title 4 of the United States Code (4 U.S.C. § 1 et seq). This etiquette is as applied within U.S. jurisdiction. In other countries and places, local etiquette applies." is still there.
