Uggs... In Florida? Ugh!

Too funny! My husband wanted to get me Uggs for Christmas and I'm so glad I found out ahead of time - and I was able to stop it. He said, "I thought all women want those things?"

Me: "Not this woman!"

So is the argument that they're ugly, poor quality, or stupid in the Florida weather?

Ugly - Debatable
Poor quality - No
Stupid in the Florida weather - Absolutely

For the cost of 1 pair we could go for a short weekend resort not too far away. Money better spent.

They're not that expensive for what they are though, are they? $150-$200 seems about right for fleece-lined sheepskin.

They run about $200 and for that we could get a Groupon at a resort near our home.

In the Uggs defense, I never understood the cowboy boots in 99 degree heat either. I mean, I guess the Ugg will absorb the sweat at least? But those cowboy boots, I swear you can smell them and the people's feet in the middle of the summer from like 20 feet away. Just gross...

And at the opposite end of the spectrum . . . flip flops worn in zero degree weather, with multiple feet of snow on the ground outside, are ridiculous! (I just had to share that silly one with you, because I saw it with my own eyes a few days ago!! A woman parked her car across from a Starbucks, and walked across a snow-packed, icy street in flip flops to get her coffee!) Ha!

Yes!! Amen!! I'd see flip flops in Wisconsin winters on campus all of the time and if we had a stint of below zero and it got above 0 you'd see guys in shorts... And girls in shorts... Again, with Ugg boots.

I agree with the rediculousness of flip flops in the winter as well. That seems to be a thing here in Boston, which is insane.

The most expensive footwear I own are these and they only were $40-50. Yes, the go well with my compulsory "autumn-Han Solo" attire.

I know! A selfie stick as I take a selfie in my fabulous Florida-in-July outfit while I make a duck face!

(I'm a non violent person - really, I am... but I can't stand either of those things - I wish it was legal to beat people with their own selfie sticks - ESPECIALLY if they are using them to take duck-face selfies)
