Typhoon Lagoon with 2-Year Olds?

Are we being crazy or would this be fun? Our kids love pools and the kiddie spray park at CBR was a big hit. Obviously, we wouldn't be planning on many water slides other than the family raft ride, but there would be Katchakiddie Creek, the lazy river, and shallow portion of the wave pool.

Do any of the tube slides allow double tubes like at Blizzard Beach?

I don't think it's crazy as long as you understand the limitations you'll have going into it. Personally I would recommend Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach. I think they have a better lazy river, kiddie area and wave pool. There's a nice zero-entry pool next to the Crush N' Gusher that they can swim in. There are also the aquarium part of the Shark Reef where you can go down in the boat and look at the fish.

The only tube slides that have doubles other than the family tube slide is Crush N' Gusher which the 2 year old obviously won't be able to ride.

Hope that helps! Have a great trip!

you and your kids will have fun, as the previous answer stated the kids area is great and there are small pools of water near the wave pool that do not get hit by the waves so they can play in it all day. There is not a lot of shade near the wave pool so bring lots of sunscreen.

Its not crazy as long as you don't mind spending the money and not getting to do the main slides. The kids will love katcha-kiddie creek and playing in the sand by the pools. My son and daughter both loved it there at that age. Typhoon is a great place to spend a hot Florida day.

We love Typhoon Lagoon; however we didn't go until our daughter was 8. If you have the tickets with water parks I say go for it, but if you don't I would wait til the kids are older and can enjoy the wave pool and the family coaster.

Well that's significantly later with a 48" height requirement for Crush n Gusher. Needless to say, we won't be waiting that long.

As to the previous poster, we are going in January--BB is closed, so it's TL or nothing.

We took our daughter to TL when she was 15 months, and she loved it. Aside from a couple of laps of the lazy river, she spent the whole time in the kiddie area while the rest of us took turns going to other things in the park. She was only walking while holding onto things at that time, and she still had a blast. There were lots of little slides that she went down over and over again. You are definitely not crazy. They will have a blast!
