Typhoon Lagoon Hints/Walkthrough

I usually am the older brother that brings my little sister to the waterpark one day on the trip while everyone else sleeps in. We basically power-through everything we want to do, and are forced to meet back with the group early-afternoon. However, this time my wife and I will be going with another couple, and we've decided to dedicate nearly a full-day to TL.
I worry because there is very little chance we can do the same gameplan that my sister and I have routinely gotten away with. Anyways, I'm just looking for advice/suggestions.

Where to sit/camp?
Best strategy for less waiting (Touring Plans-ish)?
Hidden gems?

Thanks. Any other ideas would be great too.

The first and best piece of advice I can give you is get there no later than 1/2 an hour before it opens. You will also want to check for EMH days as well and take advantage of them if you can. Once you get into the park get a shaded seat immediately. My favorite spot is between Typhoon Tilly's and the Shark reef. Most of the lines mover rather quickly with the exception of Crush n Gusher and the Shark reef so hit those early.

Thanks.

This will be my first chance to ride Crush'n'Gusher, so I was already going to hit that up first. We are going to get there early, as there's really no other way to do a WDW waterpark. I have read a couple of posts that mention spots in the general vicinity of where you are suggesting. My sister and I always just turned right and kept walking until she was happy with a spot that was 'safe' enough. Why right? I have no clue.

Anyways, I generally outline which parks we'll be in on certain days, and we usually have at least one meal pre-planned. We can't stay too much past 1-2 PM, as dinner plans will prohibit us staying too long.

My wife has only been to Blizzard Beach once. Never Typhoon Lagoon. So, I'm thinking most of the time will be spent in the wavepool, especially given that she's not a huge fan of slides.

Well the waves are HUGE at typhoon lagoon so maybe your wife will enjoy that instead.

I would get there early, water parks fill up fast.
I would put your towels down at the wave pool, because thats where the seats go very fast.. or off the the side even a little further from the wave pool.
Then I would go onto crush n gusher if that is what you REALLY want to do. Last July when I was there, the park was packed but I waited maybe 10 minutes for each slide because I went there first.
Maybe your wife will enjoy swimming with the sharks if she is more of a laid back person.

I personally enjoy blizzard beach better, but i like typhoons wave pool. ENJOY !!!!!!
