Pre-Trip Two trips for the price of one!

So, our original plans were to head the The World at the end of September of 2015 to celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss. On September 1, we booked a full trip staying at Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Room for just the two of us for 8 days. Sounds magical, right? We had a trip countdown started and everything. It seemed like light years away, but we knew it would be worth the wait. I originally wanted to do a land and sea trip but just couldn't quite convince DH that this was the way to go. In the end, I was just happy to be taking our first couples-only vacation since 2007.

Fast forward to October 15, a short 6 weeks later. We received an email from Southwest Airlines offering $99 one way flights for the months of January and February. Darn you, SWA! DH told me he had a hair-brained idea. Those always worry me a little! :-) He thought perhaps we could sneak in a short trip in January during the cheap flight dates, staying at a value resort and then maybe we could take that glorius 3 day cruise (that he is sold on now, too, thanks to some of your trip reports!) also in late 2015 or possibly early in 2016. We crunched the numbers, checked resort availability and bit the bullet. We are now officially rescheduled for January 11-15, 2015 at Pop Century, to celebrate our 19th anniversary, and we will approach the cruise trip later this year or early next year to celebrate the 20th! Might as well celebrate both, right?! It was amazing to watch that trip countdown go from 343 days to 87 days with a click of a button!

So here is the tentative itinerary which other than flights, may be subject to change.

Our Flight from CMH departs at 6:50AM and arrives at MCO at 9:10.

We know the room probably won't be ready, but that's okay since they will deliver our luggage to our room. We will just check in and head to the park! The jury is still out on which park that will be.

We made some changes last night and switched to the Play Stay and Dine special that was offered. They didnt have Pop Century standard rooms so we are staying at Music instead. It will be fun to see the new food court. It ended up saving us about $100 from our original plan. We traded Boma and Chefs De France so we could have our last night at Epcot and end our trip with Illuminations! Now we wait to make fast pass selections and hop on the plane. I'm always a little sad when the major planning is over. I'm weird like that! :)

This will be our first experience with both Boma and Chefs De France. We can't wait!

I think you will enjoy both of them. We went to Boma back in 2008 and loved it. I was a little skeptical of trying food that seemed so unfamiliar, but we had fun getting out of our food comfort zone. I had wanted to eat at Chefs de France forever. The lobster bisque and French onion soups are delicious! Crime brûlée and creme puffs are fantastic as well. Bon apetit!

Now we just wait for our luggage tags, magical express package and magic bands and keep our fingers crossed for a fast pass for lunch at BOG! I. CANT. WAIT!!!!

And now we are in the 40's!!! I know the next 48 days are going to fly! Between Thanksgiving, (which also happens to be dh's birthday!) our anniversary, our daughter's 13th birthday, Christmas and New Years there isn't much time for anything else! Oh yeah, forgot to add in the 14 batches(56 pans) of maple pecan sweet rolls I am baking this year! It will make for a little bit of "fun" money for our trip, but I just hope it doesn't kill me first! :-)
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Isn't a wonderful feeling when you are in single digits on the count down. The plans sound great and can't wait to read the trip report.

I totally get that! Half the fun is planning the trip. I'm weird like that too
