Just two quick observations,

1. How funny is it, that the name of the big giant balls they sell at WDW is " Balzak"

2. I consider myself a 100 % Disney geek ( and proud of it ), but I was at EPCOT this past weekend (8/24) and they were having a Disneyana Convention. Good Lord kids, there are some Disney Freaks out there. Scary

1. Not really funny... and I believe Disney did not call them that, that is what the maker named them.

2. Yes, the pin trading underground scares me.

Balzak

You may already know this and if you do then just ignore me.:)

Those balls are really big balloons in a cloth sack. The sack helps protect the balloon from popping. The sack was invented by a young girl who I believe was in her preteens. Needless to say she is a millionaire now.

Just a little info from someone who has too much useless knowledge floating around in his head.

The name is funny!

And don't bother buying the spare inner balloons, we did and when we needed to use one six months later they had all perished. :(

I thought it was ball sack

Anywhoo, wasn't Balzac a writer? Probably spelled differently. I don't know. Ignore me, I'm tired.

YES Balzac was a writer.

Don't you remember the scene in "The Music Man" where the townsfolk are up in arms that Marion's library contains volumes by Balzac?

Well, if you are ever at WDW walking by the Balzac display and someone yells " You can get the balzac " just holler "whats up disneyfamily" and I'll shout back.
