Two more days. Last minute tips/suggestions please

Hey all,


I am looking for some last minute answers / suggestions. My trip to the world begins on Wednesday. As some of you know it is a split stay between AKL and BLT.


First question- Does anyone have any suggestions for room request for BLT. We are in a 1-bedroom lake view and would love an area that can see the MK as well. (I realize chances are slim- but can’t hurt to try)


2nd- Does anyone know how far you can go while renting boats at BLT? I tried viewing a map and seeing, but it was not very clear what resorts you could visit.


3rd - We are thinking about TiW. Curious if anyone has any last minute thoughts arguing for it or against it? (I understand the break even part is 500 dollars)


4th - We may be looking to book last minute spa massages and are curious if we will have a chance of booking only a few days out? (Grand Floridian preferably)


Lastly, wish us luck for a soft opening of the seven dwarfs ride! Will be at the world from the early 14th- late on the 22nd.

The only question I can try to answer is the TIW question, so here goes...

I love it, we always get it when we buy AP's (we are not FL residents). I like that I can use it for discounts on drinks and meals and that it can be used for so many people. One thing I have noticed is that a manager is generally required to take the discount off for you, so sometimes it may take a few extra minutes to get your check, this can be especially frustrating for the staff if you are at a crowded bar. I know some people complain about the added 18% gratuity, but 20% + is what should typically be left in my opinion so I do not find this to be an issue.

Q1. Not good but it never hurts to ask.
Q2. FW,WL,Poly, GF - don't run out of gas!
Q3. I love my TIW card, it was an absolute no brainer for us, but I will preface that with the fact that we do mostly sit TS meals, and usually a more expensive meal or two as well ie...Yachtsman, Citrico's, 'Ohana....on our last trip alone, we had a total of $450 in discounts, and it was our third trip since getting the card, we had reached the break even point previously so now its just great savings. The key is to use it everywhere you can, I hear a lot of people leaving the restaurants saying "dang, I forgot to give them my TIW card"
Q4. A few days out shouldn't be a problem, although Senses can get pretty busy, just check as soon as you get there for availability. The Spa's at SS and YC are also very good as well.
