Two days at the world without tickets... what to do?

My husband and I will be at Disney from Sept 6-10. We have season tickets that will be good through the end of the day on Sept 8 (this is why we actually planned this quick trip- we wanted to get a little more use out of them).
This will be our shortest trip we have been on....hitting all four parks in 2 1/2 days!
Our last two days (Sept 9 and 10) will be free days for us!. We have never had that kind of time at Disney without being able to go into a park and are not quite sure what all we should try to take advantage of and see.
We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas, so we were planning on taking in the sites around the resort and then maybe hitting up Downtown Disney for a few hours.
Also planning on visiting some of the other resorts.
Does anyone have any good ideas for us?... I know i will be standing at the Polynesian gazing over at the Magic Kingdom, pouting that we cant go in :)
Any tips or ideas would be great... thanks everyone!

Since you don't want parks, I'm not going to say Uni or Sea World, which is my first automatic reply! If you can beg, borrow or steal the money, go to Uni. :)

Winter Summerland is on the same grounds as Blizzard Beach - you pass it as you walk into the park. So, just take that bus if you want to go there. Bowling at DTD is a good idea.

Head over to the Wilderness Lodge. Check out the lobby there, walkout back and watch the geyser go off. Meals at Whispering Canyon are usually fun, if you want to pay for that. Walk the path over to Fort Wilderness and see the horses. If you want to pony up $100, you could take in the Hoop Dee Do, which is at Ft. Wilderness, too.

If you like to walk, all the mods are nice to walk. You can get a cheap (for Disney) lunch in the food courts. POR has the best food court, IMO.

A day at the pool is always a worthwhile waste of time!

Some hotels offer free tours - you could look into that.

While it does take some time. Heading over to do the monorail loop stopping at each resort to look around is relaxing and fun. After that, (here is the timing part) you can take the monorail over to Epcot to see the views along the way and get "inside" the park for a minute or so of your ride, then hop on a bus over to French Quarter to look around (You can bypass the Epcot monorail and get a bus straight from TTC) and you can then take a boat ride over to DTD. We pretty much killed a whole day with that excursion and saw quite a bit.

These are wonderful ideas!
After all the recommendations, now I am actually trying to decide what I would rather do on our last night.
Watch wishes/electrical water parade from the Poly, enjoy the nightlife on the Boardwalk, lounge out in the hot tub at AKV....
I am seeing now there is plenty to do to keep us occupied and not feel "left out of the magic" for two days! :)

There is also FW resort where you can horseback ride or a carriage ride.
