Just when we thought things were becoming clear with the Stunt Show moving into residential street...

The Backlot Tour has just been down for a rehab, and it was planned that during that time the tour would be re-routed to skip past residential street, leaving the path clear to begin demolition ready for the stunt show.

It now turns out that during the rehab, the route was changed 3 times, and ultimately it was left as it was still running along residential street.

So it may now be that the Stunt Show is delayed, has been relocated, or cancelled altogether.

So something has happened to the rumored Stunt Show right? Well perhaps what happened was that instead of putting the car stunt show in the residential street, they opted to place this attraction where the Indiana Jones Stunt show is instead. This could work because they would save on construction/demolition work, and open the way for an Indiana Jones attraction similar to the one in DisneyLand Cali. Could this be the reason why the backlot tour will not change the route???? It makes sense to me, alot of sense...in fact I think its better because you get two new attractions, and there is no big demolishment. All they need to do is put the Indi Attraction where Hunchback theater is now...the ride itself would have to be different than the one in DL...so maybe they could find a way to connect it with the surrounding New York facades...maybe have it based in a museum that has been over run by some cursed artifact............whatever does happen it should be interesting.

That's what I think they should do except I don't think the Indy idea would work, because the new mummy ride at Universal is supposed to be along the lines of the museam. I think that they should put the stunt show where the Indy stunt show is now so that they can save alot of demolishion work. The Indy ride would go somwhere else, but I don't know where. I think that it should go somwhere where Star TOurs and the stunt show is now.

I'm not familiar with how much space they have to work with...but hasn't there been a rumor that Disney will expand The Studios for a long time...maybe the new Indi attraction could be a part of the expansion. Just a thought.:hammer:

Can you guys just fill me in on what kind of stunt show they are putting in MGM, and when it's supposed to be completed?

Because they already have the Indy stunt show...are they planning to take this out, and if so, is there any plan for the Indy ride to come to MGM?

Rumors are circulating about a new auto stunt show similar to the auto stunt show at Walt Disney Studios at DLP. Supposedly, this new stunt show would be appearing at WDW near Residential Street, on the Backlot Tour.
There have been threads about this recently. Do a search or check out some of the earlier threads from this month and I'm sure you can find additional information. :D

Here's a pic of the Countdown to Extinction ride building, which shows what the Indi ride building could look like in size, and helps in seeing where it could go in the studios if it were to be built......

Well it seems Disney has other plans...well I just hope everything turns out for the better. But I still think that the decaying Indi Stunt show either needs to change or be replaced with something new...it really is getting old (I personally skip this everytime)....the update reflects that the delay in demolition of residential street has to do with the Osborne lights....it makes sense...I guess that's a very important issue if they destroy residential street....but still I think they could come up with something else...maybe they are thinking of doing away with the backlot tour in the future...and the Auto Stunt show is the first of more attractions to come in that area.....who knows. Lets see what happens......:brick:
