Two ADR Questions

Hi folks,

Two quick ADR questions:

1. On the day when your ADR booking window opens up, what time are you able to start booking them online? I know the call center opens at 7 a.m. Eastern for phone bookings, but can you book them online earlier?

2. The last time we had a package booked, the online system seemed to have difficulty recognizing that we had an on-property resort reservation and, thus, were entitled to book the extra 10 days. We were only able to book for the first day, which was open to everyone to book at that point. My wife had to call and do the remaining reservations by phone. Is this a known problem that existed and, if so, has it been fixed?

Thanks,
Tom

Yep what Yoda said! 6am eastern online and I have had occasional issues recognizing but usually using a different browser etc fixed the issue. ;)

Okay. If the system is going to work, I shouldn't need to have done anything other than have my resort reservation linked to my My Disney Experience account, correct?
Pretty much.

As @sxeensweet eluded to, make sure your browsers are up to date, clear your cookies and make sure you have more than one browser ready to go.

Well, this morning was our 180 day mark and, as it did for us last year, the system would not recognize the +10 part of our 180+10 window. I could only book the very first day online. Fortunately, my wife was able to get on the phone at 7 a.m. and get almost everything we wanted, but I don't understand why I can never get it to work online when others say it works fine. I tried three different browsers, cleared cookies, cleared cache, restarted, reloaded, etc. No dice.

It might be an issue with your profile. I had a similar issue back when online ADRs first came out. I called tech support and they pretty much confirmed that the info they had on me was a jumbled up mess. They cleaned house and everything has been fine since then.

I agree with @Master Yoda . If your MDE account is consistently giving you problems with your reservation, then you need to call and talk to someone about your account and find out why. I know the system has its flaws but for us, we have never a problem with our MDE account and have always been able to book our ADR starting at 6 a.m..

I am glad to hear that despite the problems your wife was able to get the ADR's you wanted!!!

Can anyone confirm whether this window is now opening at 7am Eastern Time - I know the reservation telephone line is now open from 7am not 6am. Has anyone made ADR's in the last few months and been able to do so at 6am? Thanks

Yes it is 6 am. And you can check for yourself. Simply go online at 6 am and scroll through the calendar ~ the last day in blue six months out will be 180 days away from the current day. (Remember anyone can make ADRs 180 days out, not just resort guests. Resort guests have the benefit of making ADRs for the duration of their vacation at 180 days.)

I had the same issue with my iPhone MDE app. What I did was this at the 180 days-out point: book the 1st day's reservation. Then, go back to the menu screen and hit "my reservations", as a way to "remind" the app the of my resort reservation. Then, I'd go back to "my dining" and add the subsequent day's dining. I kept doing this back and forth until I got all ten days of dining reservations. This might help others finding themselves with this issue

I have heard repeat complaints about people booking ADR's through the app but I have always used the online route and never had any problems.

Yep agree I always use the online route at 6am eastern on my 180th day without any problems. MDE app can be very glitchy that morning. ;)
