Tusker House - What time???

We would like to do the Kiliminjaro Safari right when Animal Kingdom opens, and then have breakfast at Tusker House right after. What time should we schedule our ADR for? I wasn't sure how much time to allow for waiting in line, plus the safari and walking time.

You could do TH before the park opens and get out just as the crowd reaches the restaurant. KS is right over by TH so an 8 AM ADR could get you to KS by 9:15, which is about when you would make it there if you got in the park at RD. Otherwise, I agree with roo on a 10 or 10:15 ADR.

We also took the pre-park opening approach when we last did Tusker...worked very well for us.

Not sure if we want to try to get there an hour before park opening, but that is a good idea. I went ahead and booked at 10:10 reservation. We will just do the safari right at rope drop and then head to breakfast. Thanks!

My parents were practically run over by folks trying to get to Safari. We ate @ TH @ 8:15, and @ 9:15, the crowds came. The CMs warned us! Not sure if I'd like to do that again.

So would you recommend getting to the park at rope drop, heading straight for the safari and then doing breakfast right after? I have an ADR for 10:10, but have been trying to decide between keeping that or switching it to 8:00am.

I would do rope drop, then safari, then breakfast. But that's just MHO.
