We are vets of many a princess dinner at Norway and Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace, but our 2yr old loves Mickey so we are thinking either of these two. Also anyone ever do the Alice Tea, thinking my 5 yr old might like it. Thanks!

Never done the Alice tea but I've done both Chef Mickey ' s and Tusker House. My preference is Chef Mickey ' s because I've never been rushed at Chef Mickey ' s but at Tusker House we were. It might have to do with Tusker House being in a park but they rush you. Besides Mickey is more a focus at Chef Mickey ' s than at Tusker House.

Both have cute character experiences, but Tusker House had the better food and more unique selection in our opinion. Chef Mickey's atmosphere was cool with the monorail whooshing in and out, but the overall experience wasn't so great that we'd go back again any time soon.

We've done Tusker and Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We would pick Chef Mickey's, even though the food is more generic, since we had a bad experience at Tusker. Still, so many of the character meals are inconsistent...so, you'll find a pretty even distribution of people who enjoy both, just one, or just the other. In light of this, I recommend picking the one that has more appeal to you. Here are the factors I'd consider...

1. Is it more important to you to meet Daisy or Pluto?
2. Is price a factor? (Chef Mickey's is more $)
3. Does the location of one fit better into your schedule than the other?
4. Not sure if this is still the case, but Donald didn't sign autographs at Tusker when we did it- will this be a problem?
5. Which menu appeals to you more?

As for the tea...never done it, but I have some friends who have. One of them really liked it, while the others felt it was a bit of a rip off. I've walked by it a number of times though and the girls all seem to be enjoying themselves.

We loved Tusker - Donald greets you at the door for a photo then you meet Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey in safari costumes. We enjoyed the food and the jungle juice. Trying Chef Mickey this trip for the first time. Food looks similar to other breakfast buffets but characters meet in chef gear. Both should be enjoyable.
Haven't done the tea party but have done breakfast. The characters were fab-Alice, the Hatter, Mary Poppins in her white dress, Pooh and Tigger. Mary Poppins was outstanding with my boys, teaching them how to be proper gentlemen! The Hatter was great fun too. The food was decent but we were underwhelmed by the dining room. I think we were expecting something much more grand.

My 5 year old and 7 year old daughters have been to the Alice tea and they both really enjoyed it. They could be checked in about 15-20 minutes early and we left them coloring outside the doors of 1900 Park Fare. (No parents were allowed inside). When the tea party started, they were taken inside and did crafts (nothing fancy or nice - it was like a foam tea pot/sticker craft) and then Alice/Mad Hatter came and played. They had cupcakes and juice. I thought it was well worth the price (it was about $60 total for my two girls) and I was super pleased with the photopass photographer's pictures. There were only three kids at the tea party total, so that's why we ended up with so many pictures- but even if they didn't have so many pictures, there were still lots of good ones with the kids individually and with Alice/MH. It was enough time that my husband and I grabbed lunch at Grand Floridian Café while there were at the tea party.

We have also done the Perfectly Princess Tea Party. That was a huge expense but this was such a better price point that they will probably go again on a future trip. I would highly recommend this tea party!
