Tusker House or Chef Mickey’s

Oh damn. Lol it’s that bad?

I think I’m just nervous because we hate the Garden Grill and a bunch of people say it’s really good.
The character interaction at Garden Grill is excellent , the food is not horrible but not great either, atmosphere and characters tend to make up for the lackluster food.

Oh yea for sure. But my husband doesn’t want to do a “bad” meal again when paying so much money. I’m thinking about just going to Sanaa instead.

I would say on strictly food Chef Mickey is equivalent to a Golden Corral, while 1900 Park Fare is equivalent to a decent casino buffet. Neither one would be worth the price for the food alone without the characters, but that is kind of the whole point.

The food at Tusker house is very good. We usually do Garden Grill on Thanksgiving, and the Thanksgiving food is much better than the normal.

My husband thinks it’ll be easier to just stay in the park, so we are going to do Tusker House. He’s probably right, it is easier. I was able to get a 605 reservation. If the food isn’t up to par, we can always grab a snack after. Plus I’m sure our daughter will like the characters regardless.

We did both last trip with a 5yo Chef Mickeys for dinner was crazy and although good character interactions felt a little bit like ear quick before you miss someone

Much preferred Tusker House for breakfast good interactions .. super cute outfits, food choices are good and they do a little musical dance around with kids that want to join in .. and benefit of getting into AK early with breakfast reservation.. We did ours and then walked straight onto a Safari and with it still being early and cool saw so many more animals than I have before

We are going to Disney in April with an almost 3 year old. When we went last year, she loved the character dining so we wanted to do it again. I have quite a few princess meals covered and would like 1 Mickey & the gang.

We went to Garden Grill before and didn’t enjoy the food so my husband refuses to go there again.

We are spending the day at AK but are staying at the WL so either isn’t a big deal for us.

Which one would you prefer? For character interaction and dining. More so the characters for her. I am really flip-flopping between the 2.

Thanks!

Can't speak to dinner at Garden Grill but I think you can't go wrong with breakfast there. Given your two choices, I would go with Tusker House. Less chaos.

Thank you. I keep on going back and forth but I think I really want to do a character meal for her. She’s only Little once and will only be into the characters for so long. Decided to do tusker house. Would be easier anyway with the magic kingdom day

It’s the worst dinner buffet on property, IMO. As you can tell, there are varying opinions on the food quality. As long as the character interaction and timing is good, you may be forgiving of the food. I can’t compare it to lunch/dinner at the Garden Grill though.

Might actually be the worst restaurant food I've had anywhere.

Golden Corral is the Bellagio Buffet by comparison. At least they have variety and enough fried options you don't notice you're eating slop.
