Ok ok ok ... I got one.. Megara has had like wayyyy too much to drink (Dole whips of course) and she's all "Hey Ron.... I got a News story for you. Come on over here and make Hercules jealous." Wait a second.. Nevermind.

For what it's worth, MY movie would have to star THIS version of Megara.

Jungle Cruise -> slapstick comedy. Some tourists book a boat excursion on a tropical river. The captain unexpectedly kicks the bucket, and a hapless guest (our star) has to take over driving the boat. Of course he gets lost, many misadventures and puns, they see the back side of water.
Wouldn't it be funny to have the cast of the Office in the boat. Michael could fall overboard and Dwight would jump into the water after him yelling, "I'll save you Michael!"

In 2001 or so, someone on those forum might have jokingly said something along the lines of this.

"We should have a haunted mansion movie, where Eddy Murphy plays a comical real-estate dealer!"

They would be joking, of course...but to all of our dismay, it came true.

The Haunted Mansion as a stop-motion animated film in the style of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Tim Burton as producer. It would follow the story from the The Haunted Mansion record/book, but expand upon it. It's the perfect way to bring The Hatbox Ghost back into the picture, since he was on the cover of the record and part of the book.
Is this the one that Gullermo del Toro will direct?

No. He's doing a live action Haunted Mansion movie. But there hasn't been any development on it so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't end up happening.
That's disappointing. But Tim Burton will do cool things with the Hatbox Ghost. Great picture BTW, I bought the HM book at WDW and it has that picture. I think it's awesome.
