Use movie scene's from Disney Classics like 20,000 Leagues, Pete's Dragon, Herbie, Escape to Witch Mountain, Apple Dumpling Gang, Keep Mary Poppins...etc...and mix in new movies like National Treasure, Oz The Great and Powerful, etc...

Yes, I know...Pete's Dragon...classic!

You could also have a ride based solely on National Treasure where you help BEN GATES..."STEAL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE!" Lol!

I like your thought process, and believe me I love me some Great Movie Ride, but the attractions somewhat independence from Disney synergy is one of the things I think makes it so great. I love the old Hollywood feel and film selections for the ride, something that made far more sense when the park was more in-tune with its "Hollywood That Never Was, And Always Will Be" roots. I would love nothing more than to see this former headliner get the restoration it deserves.

BTW, I'm down with any ride that has a Nic Cage animatronic.

Magic Mike, I like it too! But I think if my kids see scenes from 20,000 Leagues and/or The Apple Dumpling Gang they'll identify more with that than they do with Casablanca or Singing in the Rain. If it's a "Family Resort", I think that would be more enjoyable for all. Your point well taken though.
