OK im going in September and definitely gonna do this. Even if i don't get a turkey leg ill get a laugh from everybody there. its just as good and a yummy turkey leg making memories come true for all who are near me that particular moment.. Who know maybe ill be the next you tube sensation

A few more “freebies” that the OP should know before the big trip:

1. Popping your mouth with your finger in your cheek will yield free popcorn at any cart on Tuesdays between three and four o’clock in the afternoon.

If you do a quick Google search, other people have done exactly what the OP said and walked away with a free turkey leg.

The two teenage girls in line in front of us the last time we were there did this and they both received free turkey legs. One of them was very loud and really into it and the other one barely moved her arms and didn't make any noise. It was however very entertaining and the one girl had the entire line laughing and clapping.

I'll confess I myself, too, thought this was a hoax, an urban legend.
(I do have a nagging feeling, or perhaps hope, that Disney gave those annoying girls in the video a turkey leg just to end the insanity!)
