I've decided that, for better or worse, I am going to give one of those big ol' Turkey Legs a try on my next visit, so my question is, is there a better place to get them on property? Which would you recommend?

Always DHS by or at fairfax fare. much better than any pushcart.
Yeah, I was thinking of Toluca Legs, because I love Sunset Boulevard, and that seems as great a place as any to chow down on a Flinstone's style Turkey Leg.

Also, I remember Whispering Canyon had a dinner that would make Ron Swanson proud - including a turkey leg - not sure if they still offer it though.
I was watching a YouTube of the show Unwrapped when they did a Disney World episode, and you know, they made it look really tasty. Plus, I wanted to try one on my last trip, but didn't get a chance.

Well, it's a rite of passage. Everyone who is anyone has had one at least once. The true test, however, is if they have one ever again. It's a very black and white issue - at least in my household
Should be interesting, as I don't tend to go for the darker meat in a Turkey, which is basically what the leg is made up of.

Personally I'm holding out til the they serve ostrich legs, turkey is just not big enough I want to feel like Fred Flintstone.

One of my least favorite Disney moments: waiting in a (long) line for RnR and having the unique misfortune of watching four Scandinavian teenagers ( packs and all) tagteam a single turkey leg. They were about ten people behind us, so walking through the switchbacks (the EXTENDED switchbacks, no less), we stood beside them every 10 minutes or so. Excruciating.
I'll never be able to remove the sights and those sounds from my memory. I completely get your secluded seating area thing.

The darker meat tends to have the most flavor. It gets a bad rap and it shouldn't.

Mmmm.The Turkey Leg. Over one and a half million sold at WDW every year. There also good for you with just over 1000 calories in each one.If you want to stay fit & healthy at Disney,this is the way to go.And yes! They really are Turkey.They are imported in from a turkey farm in Chernobyl hence the size.

I can't imagine a circumstance where I would buy one but I do love watching people eat them. I've always thought if they placed a tourist in a Mickey shirt eating a turkey leg in the pre-historic snowstorm of Space Ship Earth, they would fit in perfectly.I love that man.
