Trip Report Tu in ‘25

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Tu in ‘25

These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Since this intro needs a picture, here are Tu.

Tuvalu do you go to WDW in November every year as we will be there next year from 9th to 22nd. Hope you do.
While I don't visit WDW every year in November, I have gone often enough not to rule out a possibility in 2026. I'll be sure to send you a message if I book a trip during your dates!

Ah man...I'll prob miss just miss you again... Nov 11-14 for me.... 🙌

I really like Em's blue WDW baseball cap. 👍

Saturday, October 11

This trip was birthed when a special offer for POFQ landed in my inbox. The start date for the promotion was 10/12 and was valid Sunday-Thursday nights for about six weeks (I deleted the offer after booking and can’t remember the exact end date.) I needed to be home by Thursday, so I booked four nights.

Well Em soon decided that four nights was not long enough and took it upon herself to search for a room for Saturday night. She checked nearby off-property hotels first and learned that it was cheaper to stay in the bubble on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend. Value resort with AP discount it was!

She picked me up at 6 am and we headed south. Our first stop was to see the Beaver.

We were a bit nervous that the place would be slammed, since a year ago on this day it was as crowded as we’d ever experienced in the morning. We did have to drive to the furthest station of fuel pumps to get gas, thanks to the dozens of unoccupied vehicles parked in front of individual pumps. Buc-ee’s has plenty of parking spaces and it boggles my mind that people just abandon their vehicles at the pumps before/after fueling.

The store was definitely less busy than last year. No lengthy line for the restroom and indicator lights have been added above each stall, making it easier to find an available one.

This is Halloween.

I should have picked this up for Tuvalad.

Usual brisket and egg taco. Em also got tots.

I took over driving until our next stop at the Florida Welcome Center, which no longer looks like a Publix.

We switched seats again and I was able to take the infamous picture.

It was a seamless no traffic or construction delays ride! Quite the miracle considering last year our journey was two days after Hurricane Milton (category 3) which followed Hurricane Helene (category 4) just two weeks earlier.

It is funny how you mentioned people parking at the pumps!! My husband could have stayed at Buccees for ever and policed the pumps!! If you are reading this and park at the pumps, SHAME on YOU!!! Yes, you are a Karen and entitled! Off my box!!

On a positive note, the Halloween tshirts are so cute! Also, the lights above the bathroom door are a major bonus!!
