Trip Report Tu in ‘25 *Live-ish*

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Tu in ‘25

These lyrics came to mind when I thought about my trip reporting. (I also thought, Here we go AGAIN but the above sounds much more poignant.) It’s now that time of year when my Disney trips are frequent. And this Disney Senior loves sharing her visits with y’all because your engagement makes it fun!

Yes, there will be stuff that’s the same. Yes, there will be surprises (too soon for the reveals). And yes, there will be sun rises!

Spring break countdown is at 4 days.

Since this intro needs a picture, here are Tu.

Friday, con’t

An overheard conversation as we were walking to Fantasyland:

Man 1: “Glad I don’t have to make rope drop anymore.”

Man 2: “What do you mean?”

Man 1: “There isn’t a literal rope to be dropped anymore. Since they tapped our phone it’s more like tap drop.”

Man 2: “It needs a new name. How about early entry?”

Man 1: “Yeah that works.”

Disney thinks so too.

So we’re in line for early entry drop.

Which I will always call Arty Pooh.

Up next was Peter Pan. Wait was posted at 30 minutes but Woody clocked it at 20.

The woman in the white shirt (arm shown below) was apparently fascinated by this cabinet and had to open and close the doors a couple times to confirm that yes, indeed, it is a real working fire hose and not a prop. 🤦🏻‍♀️

IMG_6806.jpeg

I was a split second too late in capturing Peter Pan’s shadow.

Woody’s face reflects the frustration of having to endure 20 minutes of a 5 year old girl’s continuous bumping into him as she twirled around in her princess dress and pushed against him to see things in the queue, while her parents praised her (a lot!) for “being such a good girl waiting in line.”

IMG_6809.jpeg

It wasn’t that long of a wait. Those parents should save their praise for something that matters - like not bothering other people in line.

🤦‍♀️ I assume she was behind y’all in line? I probably would have turned around and looked at her every time. Or maybe also say “yes?” every time, as if she were trying to get his attention lol.

“I want to go again,” I said to Woody upon exiting the Mansion.

Wait time was still posted at 15 minutes. But now the extended queue was open.

The bubbles were going crazy!

I never noticed this epitaph before.

The stoic-faced CM in the load zone announced, “No more than 3 bodies to a doom buggy. Please make your final arrangements.”

Crowds weren’t bad but it was growing toasty. Very humid, and more like summer than May.

“At least there’s a little breeze,” Woody commented.

I knew a place that would give us a good a/c fix. With a wait of only 5 minutes.

Let’s go Unda the Sea.

Scuttle had flown the coop again and taken the crabs with him!

IMG_6821.jpeg

Woody waited well past King Triton and I almost missed the wave.

IMG_6822.jpeg

His hand blends in with the next clamshell, but it’s there!

I debated MPB or MPB 2.0 for our next attraction.

2.0 it was!

We were doing the attractions that are my faves (in case I wasn’t being Captain Obvious) because “you missed your MK morning on Sunday,” Woody had sweetly said to me upon entering the park.

(I married a good man too, @Tony the Tigger!)

I wanted to jam.

Even if it is in “Hillbilly Hoedown style.” :hilarious:

I think I prefer sitting closer to the back for the “wide screen” view.

Cowboy caviar was one of the fixins’ in our rice bowls. Woody and I were hungry as bears!

IMG_6830.jpeg

Shirley found a table in the back where she could see - but dark enough where she couldn’t be seen.

I was also texting at lunch with another forum friend who was in the MK - @sheriffwoody. We’d both been in Epcot on Tuesday (along with @MickeyPretzelEnthusiast) and none of our paths crossed.

It seemed @sheriffwoody and I weren’t destined to meet today either. After lunch Woody and I went for a ride on the MPB.

@sheriffwoody and her family were in line for the Barnstormer as our train pulled into the Fantasyland station. As the train prepared to leave the station I texted her, Get ready to wave!

And she replied with 👋 and said she heard the TOOT TOOT!

So we weren’t the only ones to miss each other by thismuch @MissingDisney!

Remember when I canceled our Beaches and Cream reservation for this trip (due to the poor experience Em and I had)? I promised Woody an All American Sundae in lieu of his beloved No Way José this week.

So it was now or never. And I like to keep my promises.

IMG_6836.jpeg

I did not expect my hot fudge sundae to be in a waffle bowl. A stale waffle bowl. I only ate half of it anyway - I wish the ice cream parlor offered a kid’s or junior size portion.

But they don’t because 💵💰.

Woody really enjoyed his sundae which is what mattered most.

It was now as humid as a steam room and time for us to say goodbye to MK.

9 attractions in 4 hours without LL. I’d say that’s a good accomplishment!

Woody has the appropriate hat for saving the galaxy.

I did not want to put him through the early entry rope drop (organized) chaos. So I avoided that by spending $17 for a Lightning Lane.

Entry-to-exit he was gone for 35 minutes. His ride photo never shows up and today was no exception.

The song?

IRL

We’ve been on the road for almost 6 hours, some of it through construction and torrential rain. Under ideal conditions we are about 2 hours from home. Heavy rain is in our future based on radar.

The temperature has dropped 25 degrees and apparently we missed a 4.1 earthquake at 9 am this morning!

This is actually a big pet peeve of mine. I get it, there are a lot of kids in Disney, and I hope they have a ball. But when that good time involves unnecessarily invading my personal space, or literally hitting me, it makes my eye want to twitch. Fun is not independent of respect. Okay, rant over 😆
