TTA SMS Text Noise

Theres this noise that the TTA makes when its about to announce something or update the passengers with some information. It consists of 3 small beeps. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find this noise because I would like to make it the noise that plays when I receive a text message.

I have this sound...or at least I had it on my Blackberry. Let me see if I transferred it to my new Droid.

Ok..so it turns out that I still have the sound but I now I can't figure out how to customize an alert sound. Figured out the ringtone right away but it appears this phone doesn't allow homemade alert sounds. :veryconfu

wow thats awesome I can't believe you were actually able to find it. Well now that I know what it is called, i'm going to try to find a longer and cleaner version of it unless

To make it your text message sound on Android, go to your messages, then settings. You can change the ringtone in there.
You can do the same thing in google talk and facebook, etc. I have different ringtones set for different programs.

This was taken from the cleanest copy I can find of the TTA spiel. I don't think there's a source recording out there, so it doesn't sound perfect.

The one I have is a tad bit longer...you get the whole third ding sound. I have to figure out how to get it off my phone now...

Connect your phone to a USB maybe and just get it off there? Maybe you can email it or send it through a text message
