TTA *might* be open tomorrow 9/1/09

I had heard that it would open tomorrow, too...despite all the changes.

Are you hearing this from someone on the job there, or from a third party CM report via somone who asked in the park and then posted it on the internet? Most likely this is coming from Cast Members who are still operating on the old dates that were released and then revised. The people close to the action, and even the official WDW position on this now is Sep 12 at the earliest. I'm not trying to be negative here, just trying to let people know the full facts as they are being told. It seems that every time some real info comes out regarding the latest open date, a dozen more "I heard its going to open tomorrow" comes out. If they are based on something very solid, then fine, but it seems to me its all just internet chat going to overdrive. All this does is clouds the situation in many cases.

I just hope its ope sept 21 when we get there. The lights look really cool, I cant wait to see any new pics let alone ride it!:wave:

Besides the color changing lights, is anything being done to the TTA? My understanding was it was being closed due to the work in Space Mountain, but did they take the downtime opportunity to tune it up?

BTW I'm a CM and don't know squat about it.

The Sept 2nd date was from someone who would be "on the job" as you say, but even he had his doubts.

September 12 looks more promising, anyway.

Well, almost as expected, no go.

It appeared that there were no hard-hat guys on site today, much more of (my impression) area supervisor or equivalent. Everyone was centered around the ride controls. Overnight/early morning, the cars have been moving, as they were staged as if the ride has been running. On my first day here, they were mostly concentrated out of the load/unload area (towards noodle/stitch)

There were folks working on paint, and there are definitely areas that are not finished in this regard. Original source was exit researcher. (How do they rate in the bus driver/custodian/guy walking around at universal in the rumor hierarchy ???)

I'll be here until the 6th... Anything changes (including any soft opening, you'll find out the night of the change....)

About the new LED lighting on the TTA.....

I'd bet money when those LED's got turned on TDO and WDI were stunned. And I mean in a good way.

I wonder if those LED's can reproduce Green Goblin green?
