Trouble at the Gates??

One thing to keep in mind: if you are flying to WDW, then you WILL most likely be asked for a birth certificate when you check in for the plane. Everyone is now required to have a picture ID, although they are still accepting birth certificates for small children.

We've flown several times since 9/11 with our 2 year old and have never been asked for any sort of ID for him.

As for having an "oversized" 2 year old, I called and asked about this. The CM was very nice and as he was chuckling, told me it wouldn't be a problem and no one was going to "proof" a 2 year old. (But I'll bring his birth certificate, just in case!)

Figaro that's great! How recently did you ask this question?:) :) :)

I called about 2 months ago, so it was pretty recent. We're going in September, hopefully the CM I talked to was right. I really don't want to be carrying around my sons birth certificate around with me, even if it is just a copy.

Have a great trip! :)

i went in february with my niece and she is 3 but looks 5. We walked right up to the gate handed them our tickets and she just walked right in no questions asked.

A few years back, we snuck my Five y/o cousin in (I think it use to be 3 and under Three). She just walked past em'. No questions asked.I don't think the worry about that too much. :animwink:

Well thanks for the advice, not trying to "sneak" anyone in though, just do't want to be hassled. Thanks again!:)

We went two weeks ago and were not hassled at all, even though my youngest son was three weeks away from turning 3 and is barely smaller than my 5 year old son.

I assume you had a ticket for the 5 year old, did anyone even ask for one from the 2 year old? Did they even ask his age?:)

Yes, I had a ticket for my 5 year old son (and for my 7 year old son). No one ever asked for a ticket from my 2 year old, nor did they ever even ask his age. When we went to the main gate at each of the parks, the 2 year old was in the stroller and the other two walked. I had all four tickets. While I ran the tickets and my two older sons through the turnstile, my wife pushed the stroller through the stroller/wheelchair gate.

I could've chosen July or August for our vacation, and I specifically chose July so that he would still be 2. Next year, I've specifically chosen August so that he'll have just turned 4 and will be eligible for the Neverland Club. I am a planning nut.:hammer:
