Rumors of a Tron remake or Tron 2 surface from time to time...last heard it was dead but everytime executives change who knows?

Black Cauldron was FANTASTIC...I can't believe it did SO poorly, to the opint where it is the leprous child of the Disney vault. I wish it would get some of the acclaim it deserves....but then again, I sometimes feel that way to a much lesser degree about Sword in the Stone getting no love in the parks....

please keep in mind that prior to The Little Mermaid, WDFA films of the 70's and 80's were not mega-blockbuster films....

Animated movies became somewhat of a fad in the late 80's....starting with The Land Before Time and Oliver & Co, which were both released at the same time....Nov 1988

If either TLM or B&tB grossed *today* what they made in their opening years, both would be considered financial failures....

The Rescuers $29mil
Fox & the Hound $39mil
The Black Cauldron $21mil
The Great Mouse Detective $25mil
-----
Oliver & Co. $53mil
The Land Before Time $48mil
The Little Mermaid $84mil
The Rescuers down under $27mil
Beaty and the Beast $145mil
Aladdin $217mil
The Lion King $312mil
...
...
...
Dinosaur $137mil
Treasure Planet $38mil
Home on the Range $50mil

And here is where the Kingdom Hearts ride or...my favorite idea a "forgotten movies" ride would be great to give a place in the parks for Tron, Pete's Dragon, Black Cauldron, Atlantis, etc...
That is a seriously fantastic idea!!!!!
Sounds like something MGM could do....since it is in such dire need for more "worth-while" attractions.
Maybe in the style of SSE, but with the old, "forgotten" movies.

Indeed, that`s what I personally thought, but the company seems to consider it so. One of their better movies in recent times IMHO.
It may have made $200 Million, but I will wager that it cost half as much to produce..

Didn't Disney set up a whole new animation department to produce this film?

YES YES YES....... when I played Kingdom Hearts it was giving me all sorts of ideas for new rides. A Tron computer ride would be amazing.

<----- obsessed with kingdom hearts 1 & 2 (broke playstation2 playing them over and over)
