If you want to ride at night, definitely go for the afternoon 1pm drop.I'm loving the data you are posting here! I wonder if you can draw any conclusions about the variability of how long the VQ spaces in the 1PM drop last - looking back, it looks like it's been as short as 8 seconds (Dec 11, 2023, 1pm drop lasted for 8.081 secs) and as long as 4+ hours. We're heading to the parks in mid-June and hoping to ride Tron at night. My thinking is that the 1PM drop will yield the best chance of that, but it's wild to see such a wide range of availability. Thanks!
I would also keep a look here to see what the window times are a week leading up to your trip. If they remain like they are right now (lasting >1 hours to multiple hours), might have to plan to wait a bit before getting your BG.
You could also get a BG, see what your number is and do the math to see what you callback window time would be (around 5 mins/BG).
So for example if you get BG 130 at 1pm, and they are currently at BG 70, your BG 130 will be called in about ~5 hours, so around 6pm.
You could then leave the VQ and rejoin to get a much later BG number. Of course this is risky as the VQ could close at any time, permanently losing your spot for the day.
The other option to absolutely guarantee your night ride is to just get an ILL. Get a morning/afternoon BG and then get to ride again at night. That's what I did multiple times during my trip and loved it.
Hope this helps!
