Sorry if this has been answered already.

But, if we have a park hopper ticket and we're resort Guests, can we purchase Lightning Lane at 7am for this as long as the return time is after 2pm?

Ex. We have park reservations for Animal Kingdom but are planning to hop to Magic Kingdom at a later point. Can we purchase a post-2pm TRON Lightning Lane at 7am that morning?

In that scenario, yes - when you select your return time, it will only offer those after 2pm.

Operating hours continue to be extended - 9am to 8pm tomorrow.

According to Thrill Data, the Individual Lightning Lane was available until around 7:42am.

ahhhh the days when buying a admission ticket (by the way the same day when arriving to either MK,EPCOT,AK or DHS aka back in the day DMGMS ) and getting a chance at fast pass tickets and having stand-by line for all the rides in the park. Wish it was 2018 all over again .... Remember Dreams do come true.....

This is the exact reason they will enforce it. You wouldn’t want people to get accustomed to getting an early boarding group then just wait till nighttime.
Poor cast members have to reeducate the public that there are rules that will be enforced and you can’t have it all.
Wait for the second VQ to have a shot at riding at nighttime.
Except they haven’t been enforcing it at all with Guardians. It really needs to be consistent across both VQs.

What are they going to do if/when this eventually comes off VQ? You will have many more people getting in line for it at night.

It’s a unique problem here. This is the first VQ ride I can think of where there’s a specific time when it is, by far, more desirable to ride. And they insist on closing as close to sunset as they can unless it’s a peak week, so most days, nighttime rides are only during the last 90 min of the day.

RotR, Rat, and Cosmic Rewind are largely the same experience at 9 am as they are at 9 pm.

I agree that consistency would be nice, but they can’t even get rope-drop procedures consistent across the four parks.
