i saw it last night at midnight!!! im going to see it again Sat though cause i totally fell asleep through half of it LOL - no fault of the movie of course, i was just totally exhausted haha. I actually started falling asleep waiting for the movie to start!

BUT! what i do remember of it was - it BLEW MY MIND visually and musically! You HAVE to go see this on a REAL (read: HUGE HUGE HUGE) IMAX screen in 3D...a must!!!

I can't comment on the story, but its worth it even if you just go for the sensory mind-you know what. :)

I will be going tomorrow morning to see it on IMAX 3D. I wanted to do the midnight premiere but things did not go as planned around the Yoda household last week.

I saw it this afternoon. It's a good solid movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's visually stunning with a pretty good soundtrack. Olivia Wilde is just downright HOT!!!

I highly recommend seeing Tron (1982) before seeing Legacy.

Just saw it.
Definitely an improvement on the first film, but MAN did this thing drag. Two of the people I was with fell asleep at times. You could probably cut 40 minutes out of this movie and have a really snappy action film.

Soundtrack was great, though, and the lightcycle battle (which of course is the whole point of a Tron movie) did not disappoint.

I noticed this one was 30 minutes longer than the original. Wonder why they thought they had to make it so long?

It apparently made $17.4 million on Friday (don't know if that includes the $3.5 million from midnight screenings). I've also noticed the soundtrack has been a best selling album on itunes since its release, last I checked at the #2 spot.

Saw it on IMAX 3D and loved it.

Ont thing I must have is a wallpaper quality image of the Tronified Sleeping Beauty Castle from the opening credits. So far no luck in finding one.

That would be good to have, along with a Disney fireworks show that uses lights on the castle to replicate that look and Daft Punk's music.

Saw it in IMAX 3D too (in a packed theatre) and liked it alot.

I'm sure they were hoping for much higher. Anybody know the production budget?

The production budget was $170 according to Box Office Mojo with another $100+ million for marketing. This movie will have to make around $600 million worldwide to recover the costs.

So far its made $66.6 million worldwide, debuting at #1 in all released locations, but half the foreign market hasn't seen the movie yet.

This movie was amazing...the begining was very Batman-ish. Otherwise, IMAX 3D with Bose Bass Seat Boosters made this one of the best movie going experience I have had in a long time. I am a massive daft punk fan, and love electronica, so the soundtrack was world class. The pace and length were great, short movies are never fun.

I love how, once Sam entered the grid they never went back to what was happening in our world. A lot of movies do that, we're they blend reality with what is going on in a cyber/dream world... ala Inception.

For comparison avatar took in $77 mill world wide opening weekend.

I say it's a good pull, they'll easily make $500 million. I think Disney is banking on the huge fan appeal and offset it with merchandise, special edition DVDs, and such.

Just got back, I really enjoyed it! Really a movie for the senses, beautiful visuals, amazing sound, and awesome Daft Punk score. Sure the story was a little weak, but it was still a thousand times better than Avatar's.
