As a huge Daft Punk fan as well as a fan of orchestral scores, the TRON soundtrack appeals to me big time - grabbed it at midnight release. I like the mix of electronic minimalism with the booming orchestra - it's a unique sound, but one I really enjoy. The tracks that shine the best are the ones that incorporate clear electronic beats or melodies in addition to the rest of the orchestra (Grid, Rinzler, Game Has Changed, C.L.U., Disc Wars) - but my favorites are the ones that are more dominantly electronic (Solar Sailer, Derezzed, Son of Flynn, End Titles, and End of Line) - this is where Daft Punk adapts their electronica best into a fitting orchestral score. All in all, an excellent soundtrack with only a few weak tracks (which aren't really bad, just not particularly interesting or a bit boring). I hope Daft Punk can prepare a new studio album at some point now that they've pursued a few side projects. End Titles & End of Line make me really excited for whatever beats the duo has up in their heads.
