I actually think TRON Lightcycle/Run is better than Cosmic Rewind. The launch on TRON is somehow one of the best feeling I have been on and I have been on many launched coasters.

There's a lot that I really like about Tron, but a lot that really breaks the experience for me. I think the outside design of the attraction is beautiful and I love the kinetic energy (one of the best attraction entrances in recent years), I love the queue portion above the launch, and I love the way the initial launch is executed. I despise the design of the outside portion of the queue and the interior portion of the queue just before (and including) the lockers. I wish the queue had more story building. The end of the attraction feels oddly abrupt without a satisfying conclusion. Is it an enjoyable ride? Sure, But looking at other rides built around the same time, I think I like Cosmic Rewind, Hagrid's, and Velocicoaster more.

Once you get used to the awkward positioning in the ride vehicle it's a great ride. Lots of fun with speed, turns and makes for a nice thrill ride for MK. I do wish it was a longer ride for the time spent in line.
Agree that there are better thrill rides such as Cosmic, Hagrid's and Velocicoaster.

I think the ride is great, it just suffered from immediately being compared to Cosmic Rewind.

The real tragedy, in my opinion, is just how much aggressive VA this job fell victim to. I'm not sure if it was VA'd from the moment it came over from Shanghai, or if it was more a COVID casualty, but there's so many small things that are different from Shanghai that come across as cheap, and boy does it show. The entire plaza paving design with the weird markings (that show stains and look terrible), completely different railing design than Shanghai's (which is much more futuristic), a truly terrible tunnel for the railroad (compared to what was shown in renderings), the nightmare of the outdoor queue which you can tell is just sloppy contracting (nitpick view from someone who works in the construction industry, caulking work/welding work/etc looks like it comes from less skilled subcontractors which is either bad QA/QC or result of low bid or both), indoor queue with terrible burn-in on the overhead screens (not to mention how annoying the spiel is), cheap backlit graphics on the walls that feel Six Flags-esque, cheapening out on the ceiling design in the loading station compared to Shanghai, cheaper LED light fixtures that are now mismatched colors if you really look (green dots all over the blue accents), etc etc etc

Sorry for the rambling, and again maybe I just have an unfortunate eye for spotting these things because this is my career, but it drives me crazy. And disappointing when it's pointed to as an amazing addition/investment in the park
